Description Pet Population Control (PPC) is a 501 (C), non profit organization, dedicated to control overpopulation in our community. PPC is the continuation of Stray Aid and Rescue, who has been helping animals for the last 20 years under the direction of Diane Fraser. We will continue the mission of providing affordable, high volume, quality care spaying /neutering services and educating our community about responsible pet ownership. Since the beginning, PPC has been committed to the cause with the latest technology and a group of animal lovers, who enjoy what they do. At PPC your beloved furry friend is in safe, caring and professional hands. We look forward to take care of your pet soon.
This place is truly a blessing and a gift to the community. My experience having our puppy spayed here was smooth and successful. She is now fully recovered, and we had no issues at all. Their system is efficient and professional, and there were no negative vibes at all (the doctor and her assistant were actually really kind to my daughter through the whole thing). They are not cold hearted or unprofessional, they are doing a tremendous service successfully. It is very easy to understand the terms of signing up for this, I had no trouble making the appointment online and receiving the confirmation. They made it clear what their terms are, so if you read everything and you qualify, you should have the same experience. There were several people there who had used PPC previously and had nothing bad to say. We arrived about 15 minutes early for the drop off, waited in an organized and pleasant line, and felt comfortable leaving our pup with them. The pick up instructions are also clear and everything went exactly as described. She got her surgery, chip, and tattoo for the price indicated, no surprises (included the chip tag as well). She was handled with care and recovered perfectly. I am so thankful for what they are doing here. If anyone has anything negative to say about them, it’s probably because they didn’t read or respect their simple guidelines for qualifying. Bless these people (and all the people bringing feral cats in on their own money too).
I tnr'd a feral mom cat here. I'm so confused with the 3 star reviews. It was such a great experience. I also just started my 501c3 rescue. I will be using Pet Population for all my future spay and neuter surgeries for tnr and for my adoptable ones.
Place is a complete scam . Pay the extra money and go somewhere else. Paid $50 non refundable deposit to schedule my 5 month old dog for spaying. Was told by nurse while waiting for the doctor who was 20 minutes late that they do not have the resources to save my dog if she has any hormones in her system and bleeds out and they only take dogs less than 5 months old. When scheduling they literally ask if your dog is 5 months or less and then let you continue scheduling with no warning about why. It's doesn't make sense either because most of not ALL clinics make you certify that your dog is OLDER than 4 months because you shouldn't even spay or neuter your animal before then. This rinky dink operation seems very sketchy and if they don't have resources to save your bleeding dog and they're doing SURGERY , is that the kind of place you would send your little one???
I’ve been a happy client of PPC for about 10 years. Since 1/1/24 I have taken 272 feral cats all of which Dr K has successfully TNRd. She does really great work. Cares immensely about cats. BTW, I live 5 blocks from a low cost TNR facility but think so highly of Dr K I drive 9 miles each way to take my cats to her. Well worth the drive. Highly recommend using her services. She’s a really really good vet!!! Thank you ever so much Dr K for all you do
If you love your pet do not use this service. The grey hair lady who operates it is a very rude person and I do not have the confidence she knows what she is doing. We had an appointment yesterday for a feral female cat we found and she refused to even look at her while explaining that they are not equipped for cats that are older than 5 months. She said that it is really dangerous to neuter cats older than 5 months which is absolutely untrue. Google it. No wonder they charge only $25 for the appointment, which we lost since we went to the appt but she didn't perform any procedure on our cat, as I said, she didn't even look at her. We left horrified but glad that we had this really bad feeling and will be looking for a REAL vet. After reading other google reviews, I feel like we made a good decision to run away. If you love your pet do not use this service, go to a real vet. This one is not.
Thank God I found you ! I had my older Dog Neutered a couple years ago you did a fantastic job now I have a new puppy and I'm scheduled for Tuesday thank you . What an Amazing Thing you guys do. I'm sure another 5 Star review next Tuesday.
