These talented volunteers and organization do a lot to restore my faith in good people without a self interest agenda are all around us. I was appreciative of their knowledge, understanding, compassion and diligence in the adoption process. I adopted a beautiful kitty and did not feel any pressure but rather strong kindness and selflessness in learning not only about all the cats on property but also their dedication as unpaid volunteers. Not only was adopting "Pearl" a lasting impact on my heart but the whole experience (my second pet adoption). I highly recommend you visit and support this organization and their team with as much as your heart and home allow.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an incredible experience with the Florida Humane Society! Terry MJ and Carol were absolutely amazing and made the entire adoption process seamless. I adopted two adorable kittens, and the ladies were extremely knowledgeable about all the cats. The kittens had received most of their shots and needed just a few more, but I was provided with all the necessary information and a vet to go to. They even gave me some food for the kittens to take home. The facility also has a wide range of items available for purchase to care for the animals. I highly recommend the Florida Humane Society to anyone looking to adopt a pet. Thank you, Terry MJ and Carol, for your outstanding help and dedication!

I recently adopted a beautiful cat from the Florida Humane Society and had an exceptional experience from start to finish! The staff was incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable, ensuring that every animal is well cared for and every potential adopter is well informed. Our new family member, originally named Sheba and now lovingly called Robin, has brought immense joy into our lives. The adoption process was seamless, and we felt supported every step of the way. They provided detailed information about her background, health, and personality, which made the transition much smoother. The facility was clean and well-maintained, reflecting the dedication and hard work of the team. It's clear they truly care about the welfare of the animals in their care. Excellent shelter! MJ was incredibly helpful with the whole process of adopting! They also gave me the name of a vet, and food! They offer cheaper, used toys which my new kitten has enjoyed immensely. I will be recommending this place to anyone looking to adopt.

Amazing experience adopting Pepper from Florida Humane Society! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We visited a few other shelters in addition to this one and you can tell the time, love, and care that’s put into all the pets. Highly recommend adopting from here!

I absolutely love this shelter and MJ , she was super helpful.I called to get info first then came in just to take a look and ended up finding my fur baby Munchkin, his demeanor reminded me of prior adoptions that turned out to be great and due to him being a tad bit skittish and a black cat. He was definitely not the standard first pick so I knew he had to come home with us. The only catch was we were going on a planned vacation and weren’t going to be able to come back for a few weeks, I said if it was meant to be, he would still be there. MJ made sure to keep in contact with me to let me know if anything happened since they can’t hold pets and it all worked out and I took Munckhin home just a few weeks later. He has been thriving since and loves his forever home and he is now officially a registered emotional support animal and loves his badge of honor💙
