I applied for several cats on a Friday night...I got a call to come to the facility on Sat but wasnt available right away. But then, they took the time to call me back to say the kitten I was looking for was being taken but there were still plenty that needed homes. So I went there at 145 on Sat and by 330 not only did I have a cat but had to, at the last minute, buy everything I needed. They gave a bag of food, treats, toys, etc. Which I think is awesome and then also give a coupon for more deals at PetSmart. My kitten literally took NO time exploring the house or falling asleep right on me as can be seen. Such a great experience thus far and I would recommend to anyone

This was my second time making an adoption from this shelter. They obviously care for the animals there and are very pleasant and helpful. Olivia was great in communication and the other woman( don't remember name) very knowledgeable and pleasant as well. Our new kitty was clean, well cared for, the facility very clean as well. Thank you, was so happy to add a new four legged family member recently. Tortellini now known as Sinders is very sweet and fitting in well, we love her.

I have now had my dog for the past 2 years and have been dealing with spurts of separation anxiety/destruction since I adopted him. They had no information on my dog when I first adopted him nor could even tell me if he was fixed. I had to have his shots redone at the vet as the receipt they gave me was not dated properly. Communication at Rome Humane Society is extremely poor. Steven and Swans makes sure they check in to their dogs before adopting them out, for example character and quirks and if they get along with other dogs. Rome humane society should have kept him longer to see what his quirks were. I find it very discouraging to have a dog and work with him daily to only have the same reoccurring issues. I don't want to give up on him so I'm going to continue to work with him until I have tried all aspects but it has been a long road. I have also grown up with dogs so this isn't my first rodeo.

Very rude immediately kicked me out for bringing my dog inside with no clear sign saying not to bring one in very unhelpful basically told me to get lost that they were too busy to even hear me out totally unprofessional, strongly would not recommend. I would give them a lower star rating if I could

Staff were very friendly and very willing to share any information requested. Place was pretty small but was clean. Access to the cats was unrestricted unless the cage was marked. Didn't find a cat for us but there were several there available.

Staff spent so much time with me, making sure we had the perfect fit for our family- 2 one- year old cats who would get along well with each other. They have added so much to iur lives. Thank you!!
