Description To this day, the thrift store continues to be the primary funding source for the nonprofit clinic; making it possible to serve the local Boerne and Hill Country communities with more than 92,000 spay & neuter surgeries to date. Our primary mission at the Hill Country Animal League/SPCA is to help prevent unwanted, neglected and abused dogs and cats by providing affordable spay/neuter services, preventative care, and guidance on responsible pet ownership. By promoting the fostering and adoption of companion animals, we help deserving pets find loving, forever homes.

I happened to be in Boerne at a doctors appointment near this location. I decided to stop in for a few minutes. I was sorely disappointed in almost every aspect of this place. The women behind the counter do not greet you when you come in. The same was true when I checked out with my one item. There was a lot of merchandise to choose from. Clothing, housewares, home decor, and more. However, these were some of the highest prices I have ever seen in a thrift store. You won’t find any bargains here. You can find the same items for better prices on eBay or at almost any other thrift store. Some of the items are marked higher than you would pay for them brand new in a store. The clothes were disappointing as well. shirts and pants that were stained, ripped, and torn. When I think of all the people who donated to this place, and the fact that they get these items for free, it really annoys me. They would move their merchandise so much more quickly. If they would mark everything about half the price they’ve got it marked now. I definitely won’t be back and I will definitely pass the word. And last but not least, were all of the signs that they had posted all over the store. Very negative vibes.

Lots to look at. Sometimes their prices are a touch high compared to other thrift stores but over all fair prices. Wish they stayed open longer hours. You have to park behind the store for the most part. Be careful driving back there because the traffic leaving Sonic uses the same driving lane.

Just wanted to bring this to the owners attention. I walked into your establishment today between 2-2:30pm to see an old white lady (I'm assuming she was a customer) yelling at a lady with 2 kids who had brought drinks in with them( I Don't think they understood English). I don't know if the young lady behind the counter just didn't know how to handle the situation. I go in there often, I usually donate plastic bags and then browse a little for some good deals. But, I was a little embarrassed for the woman yelling like a lunatic, she even snapped at me when I was trying to get through. Maybe the employees need a little training on how to handle situations like these.

Excellent holiday sales. Store was well stocked in all departments. Cashier was very friendly and helpful.

Very well organized, but you need to hunt for deals. Many things are priced high, but you can find well priced items. I will say all of the board games I have purchased have had all of the pieces. Money goes to a good cause.
