This place seems legitimate and like they care for their animals, super compassionate people from what I can see. I’m so glad I found them. The website is very neatly organized, and I appreciate the depth the application went when I submitted it. We just sadly lost our basset/dachshund mix, and know deep down he would want us to love another baby again, no matter what age or what life throws at us.

I'm a potential adopter and this place turns me off. I can't see any of the dogs unless I apply and get accepted, and even then, they'll call me with what THEY think is a good match. I live in a neighboring state; if I'm making this much effort, let me pick my own dog on my own terms. Seems like this process keeps many from being bothered with this rescue. They make it such a hassle.

I love Chapman's Dachshund rescue because the owner, Gina Chapman, takes very good care of all the dogs, that's them very well, and gives endless love to all of them. She is willing to take on Special Needs, elderly, sick, and broken dachshunds to find them homes. She's wonderful at doing fundraisers for the dogs in the events that the dogs need Very Special Care, like surgery for back problems and such. She diligently screams through applicants to make sure they are worthy fits of her wonderful dogs.

Amazing people who really care about the well being of these dogs. Very knowledgeable with this breed. I cant say enough good things about them and how they have helped me with my dog with a hurt back. If you are thinking about donating to help their cause dont hesitate. Your money will be well spent and will help so many pups in need. They are really dedicated to the pups.

Just adopted a mini beagle for my inlaws who recently lost their 14 year old dog. Was very impressed by their level of commitment to the dogs and quality of life they seek for each animal lucky enough to be in their care. Will be fostering and volunteering to help this great organization. A lonely little senior dog has made two older folks very happy. Eternally grateful!
