I have no words that can truly describe how grateful I am that we have such a phenomenal facility in Boise. My sweet girl was diagnosed with Lymphoma back in September and we were lucky enough to catch it at the right time. Through many visits and trial and error we were able to give Tipsy 7 more months of life. She even got 6 weeks of remission! Tips loved going to see her vet techs and Dr. Walters during our visits and I know how much they cared for and loved seeing her as well. When it was time to say good bye we made the best of that as we could. I felt valued and cared for during this wild roller coaster and would recommend West Vet to anyone needing Oncology for their pet ❤️ Thank you for doing all you could for my girl!

I've never been to a animal emergency center but my cat started having very labored breathing yesterday. I called and they told me to come in right away. I rushed over. The situation only got worse from there. My little baby ended up passing due to a heart issue and while it was an extremely sad experience the staff and the vet worked with were so kind, compassionate and helped me with this tough situation. After I made the decision to euthanize I sat with my baby for as long as I needed. It made me feel better to be able to tell the vet all about him and how he came into my life. I showed her pictures of him and videos so she could see the full happy life he lived with me. I could see her fighting her own tears and at that moment I absolutely knew this is a place that cares for your babies like they are their own. While I hope to never have to be in a situation like this again I feel comfortable knowing in the future if any of my pets have a medical emergency they will be cared for here. Rest easy Bob. Dad loves you forever

Everyone we encountered here was patient, warm and comforting. My dog Rocco lost his vision suddenly and that was apparently a secondary effect of him being very sick with cancer, that we didn't realize he had. I went from slightly worried to devastated in minutes and they were completely understanding and patient with me as it all came together in my mind that I was losing my best friend. They had a room where my family and I could be with him until we were ready to say goodbye. It was the first time I've had to put a pet to sleep and it couldn't have been any better, as awful as it was. I'm super sensitive and emotionally aware, and would definitely go there again, and I felt confident that I could trust what the Dr. was telling me about my dog's condition.

My dog needed a ct scan which ranged from 1200 to 1900. And I knew it was going to be expensive so I had been saving up for it and even applied for a new credit card. I met with Sean Murphy and his team and he gave me a bunch of options for my dog. I needed a ct scan because of this abcess he's had for a while so I went with that. I left my dog there because he needed to be sedated and have other things done to him. While I was leaving work I got a call that they did see a piece of stick in his throat. They wanted to attempt to get it out which I okayed, later that day I got another call that they did get it out! He gave me instructions for his at home care which then James (the amazing vet tech) also went over with with me when I went to pick up my dog. While I'm not happy about the price for that day I understand the severity of my dogs case. Overall it was a great day because I finally got some answers and relief for my dog. I would highly suggest saving up if you plan to go to west vet or applying for credit if you can.

After taking our 5 lb chihuahua Archie to our local vet 2 days in a row with what appeared to be a back injury, they suggested West Vet since he was not improving and didn't eat for 4 days and drank very little. West Vet treated him and us with much compassion. I am very happy to report that after an overnight stay he is now home with us. Although nobody at West Vet asked for this review I felt inclined to do so. This is only the 2nd review I've ever posted anywhere. I highly recommend West Vet. Thank you so much for helping our sweet Archie.

WestVet was incredibly kind during one of my worst days. My senior cat was not doing well so I brought her in and they were able to see her quickly. Unfortunately it was her time to go, Dr Andrew was very kind in delivering the news. He and the vet tech Jordan were both amazing and both handled my Maggie with such care. They made my worst day a little easier to handle with the ease of paperwork and their care and kind words. I hope we never need an emergancy vet again but I would highly recommend them to anyone I know.
