I said good bye to the love of my life a little over a week ago. If you can imagine the most annoying pet parent who spoils her dog to the point it was disgusting, that is me. This was a very emotional, heart wrenching but unavoidable situation. Really; the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life. Gentle goodbyes were so good. They were very quick and painless with the pokes and honored my sweet boy just as much as I did. It was the transition I needed for that moment. It is never a fun experience but the two women who helped were angels, very kind, very empathetic and allowed me to be with my sweet boy. I am very thankful for these people. Rest in peace my sweet boy.

Absolutely top notch company. We have used an in-home euthanasia here in Boise before and I wish we would’ve seen Gentle Goodbyes sooner. They made every step of this process absolutely painless and they put pure thought and care into their work. Scheduling was incredibly easy, even after changing our mind and moving the date up by a week to have a bit more time with our boy. Dr. Shackleford and his assistant Patricia were incredible. Everything was perfectly explained and we could tell how much they really cared. Ruger’s entry to the rainbow bridge was the best it could’ve been because of these kind humans. Absolutely incredible company, thank you so much for being there for us.

The Vet and staff could not have been more gentle and kind. They went above and beyond to help our family during an incredibly difficult moment. They are deeply genuine in their compassion for animals and my family is very grateful to them. This isn’t something anyone wants to go through, but Gentle Goodbyes made the process as easy as possible for our cat.

Absolute angels. I am so so so thankful for the amazing people here. From the very timely return of my phonecall and understanding person who called, to the quick scheduling, to the compassionate vet and assistant who came to my home - my pup could not have had a better passing. The compassion and attention to detail made this incredibly hard day just a little less dark. I feel that my sweet dog and even myself were in such wonderful hands.

Today our sweet baby crossed over the Rainbow Bridge and Gentle Goodbye was so amazing. They were kind, compassionate, understanding and walked us through every step of the process. And they took such good care of our sweet girl all the way through. We couldn’t have asked for a better service or a more thoughtful way for her to go. We had to make the horrible decision to put our Rottie down, he deteriorated very quickly after a seizure and subsequent brain tumor/cancer diagnosis, I called gentle goodbyes and Jamie worked really hard to coordinate somebody to come out where we are, we’re a bit of a drive, so it took a little work to find a vet for the day/time I was requesting so we all could be home. But she made it happen!! She even called me periodically to let me know she was still Waiting to hear back from the vet. I appreciated that so much! Now came the day we had to put our baby down. The gals that came were PHENOMENAL, they were great about explaining what could happen (I have kids who were here so making sure they weren’t traumatized by things that happened after the euthanasia was amazing) they asked if they could light a candle for our baby, left us some cards and a rose which was so sweet. They were so kind, gentle, compassionate, understanding. They were talking to my other dogs that were there, just all around made this horrible situation just a bit better. At the time of the appt I had forgotten previously to ask about a paw print, the vet texted Jamie and got it set up so we could get that too, which she didn’t have to do that but I appreciated it! Thank you for being so accommodating, talking us through everything, and just being so understanding! When we get to the point of having to say goodbye to our other dogs (hopefully far in the future) we will definitely be using gentle goodbyes again. Thank you!💜
