Description We are a city-ran Animal Shelter who assist the public with stray turn-in's and surrenders when space allows from our jurisdiction. We have 3 TNR programs to help with the stray cat populations in our respected cities. We have a Pet Pantry located outside our building to help patrons with supplies as needed!

The young girl running the shelter should not be running the shelter. Lacks communication skills, argumentative and does not care about the community itself or animals in general. Her obsession is pitbulls so tbh, /you/ should start a shelter strictly for pits who have nipped/ been aggressive/ can’t get along with men or women. Last I checked, dangerous dogs are supposed to be put down? Are funds being properly used for all animals or just ones she loves? Fishy...very fishy. She loves to argue so that should tell many that she's not mature enough to be in the position she's in and deffo should not be involved with animals. God bless all the neglected animals not just certain ones. πŸ™πŸΌ ✌🏼

We had a cat show up in our yard and we didn't want to just let it wonder the neighborhood and get pregnant. So we went down there and even though we didn't have an appointment they were gracious enough to let us in and take the cat. Hope she finds a good family to adopt her. Update 9-11-22: TNR program is going now and so needed! We trapped our first cat. 5 more to go. 🀞

They only want to rescue dogs, esp pitbulls. Don't donate money to this facility. There's tons of sick/neglected cats around the city with nowhere to go and this place does not take them in. All about dogs. Won't get a dime from me.

The people who work here really put their hearts and souls into what they do. They work so hard to get these pets adopted out and I love how active they are in the community. I give three stars because I strongly disagree with their spay/neuter policy. They insisted on neutering my 5 month old large breed dog before I could take him home. Vets are recommending you wait until at least 12 months to neuter a large breed puppy, so why they don't follow veterinary advice is beyond me. I get that we have a stray animal problem here in Junction City, but I don't believe it is fair or humane to do this against veterinary recommendations especially when it risks the health and longevity of the animal. I wish they would reconsider this policy and maybe follow the model that breeders follow.

Great looking facility and nice staff. We went to pick out a new furry friend to add to our family. We met with one of the animals and decided to put forth our application to adopt her. The director was out of the office at the time so we sent her our current dogs vet records and the staff that was there looked at photos of our current pup. She stated that the director would give us a call back to schedule a meet and greet for both dogs. After emailing the directed the vet records, she responded by saying that she has to review multiple applications for this dog before she would decide the best option for the dog. We we were not made aware that there could be other applicants and that the dog could not be placed on hold or pending until our application was reviewed. We will be looking to rescue elsewhere.

Adopted my cat here as a kitten in 2006. She's still super sweet and cuddly.
