Amazing. Where do I even start. I am a very big worry person when it comes to my dogs. But, not when they were at this place. My dogs had never boarded before and only had some doggie daycare experiences. They had a blast at this place. They were treated well and I love how daycare is included in their pricing. I have hunting dogs and being outside is their favorite. Amy’s motto is if it’s nice out the dogs are out. Which is one of the reasons I chose this boarding facility over others and for many other reasons. Checking in was easy and my girls had the best time ever. I highly recommend MBR. Thanks again for having my girls. 🙂
This was the first time my dog Henry had been boarded and to say I was nervous and anxious would be an understatement. He's a 2 year old rescue boxer who we just adopted in September. I was terrified He was going to think we were dropping him off and not coming back for him. I contacted Amy with some questions and told her of my concerns and she was very knowledgeable and very calming and explained that I was going to have more of a hard time about this than Henry Wood and I believe she was right. I was told that he settled in nicely and I was very happy to see him calmly sitting outside on his bed when we pulled up 5 days later to pick him up. He did not seem stressed in the least. I was very impressed with the houses that they are in, the bedding provided and the toys that are also provided.
MBR Farm is great! I did the puppy class with my mixed breed pup. He is a stubborn dog and Amy gave my tips and tricks which have helped considerably with listening, leash walking and all around behavior. My dog has also gone for a day and got so much playtime and exercise that he was relaxed and was calm for more than 30 minutes! 10 out of 10 would recommend for training and boarding! Beautiful clean facility, caring workers, indoor and outdoor play spaces and overall great place!
My son sent Zoey to MBR for a 2 week stay & train session. It made a huge difference in Zoey’s leash walking & other commands! He continues to board her there overnight once or twice a month because Zoey loves being there & the fact that she isn’t cooped up in her crate at home for a couple days. We love that they are allowed to play with all the other dogs & not kept in their crates all day. They are treated like family there!
I adopted puppy who Amy and her team saved that were found frozen outside and through transfusions and many vet visits , Luke and his sister were only surviving siblings of the puppies . I adopted Luke now Cosmo after I lost my Weimaraner and my current Weimaraner was sad . These two hit it off from day one and they are so good together. Cosmo has been challenging in so many ways . But he’s a lover and he’s worth it! I continue to groom him there and stay connected to MBR and they all work so hard to find best fit for the dog and family!!!! He is 6 yrs old now still a pistol but I work with him daily to keep up his training! Thank you MBR and Amy Hunt !
My husband and I have boarded our ten year old chihuahua, Beatrice, twice with MBR Farm and are extremely happy with the care and attention she received from Amy Hunt, the owner/trainer and from MBR employees and volunteers as well. Beatrice is a rescue from a hoarding situation and was nearly feral when we adopted her three and a half years ago. She has made great strides in her behavior but remained very fearful of us, rarely allowing us to touch her. Recently, we needed to be out of state for a month so boarded “Bea” as she was not really travel ready. I was nervous about leaving her for so long, but everyone at MBR was extremely attentive to Beatrice - carefully handling her (she had bitten us in the past) and putting a drag leash on her facilitating an easy and efficient way to calmly gain access to her instead of her engaging in “catch me if you can.” (We couldn’t. 😞) In short, employees/volunteers walked her daily, held her, provided outdoor and indoor exercise/play time with other small dogs and in short - placed her in socializing situations daily. MBR Farm posts photos and videos on Facebook during the week, so we saw Beatrice engaged in all the aforementioned situations. Also, everyone knew we were worried about Beatrice, so several employees/volunteers sent me photos/videos and texts of her and about her. My husband and I were continually amazed by what we were seeing. Truly, we returned to a dog that seemed almost magically transformed! Amy spent time with us explaining behaviors we needed to adopt that would help Beatrice continue her socialization skills, and we are consistent with them. Our reward is a dog who is comfortable being touched by us, who enjoys going for walks, who takes treats from our hands, who goes to bed in her crate willingly at night and who is - overall - less fearful of the world. We will not hesitate in the future to board Beatrice with MBR Farm and urge others to patronize this excellent boarding facility. The individuals at MBR Farm understand dogs, love them, and are committed to taking care of them as though they are their own. You can relax knowing your beloved dog is in good hands while there!
