Great vet! So happy we found them last year. We recently moved from Oceanside to Downtown San Diego and we still make that drive to this vet office. We feel comfortable and trust the Dr. here! I feel no pressure treatment wise for anyone scared about pricing. My baby Arlo is super hyper and sometimes I feel judged by it, but everyone here makes me feel so welcomed and is always super caring and nice! Thank you for everything you do for the fur babies!! Here’s a picture of my Arlo recovering from his recent neuter surgery. The vet assistants are so nice and you can tell they care! They kept him some extra hours to make sure he’s ok and called me to check on him! Thank you Alta Mira Fam!!

I am completely grateful and appreciative for the care and services given to my boys here. The prices are a little heavy at times, but the attention and care my dogs receive ease my mind. And that makes it worth it. Thank you, Alta Mira. PS. Do you guys offer any insurance plans or payment plans directly? Third-party insurance is a joke

Best vet in the area! They've cared for my animals for years and my whole family adores them. When my sweet boy was diagnosed with kidney failure, everyone gathered around him while we left so they could say goodbye in case they never saw him again - and they didn't, sadly. I was really touched by that. You won't find kinder vet techs in the biz. I appreciate the hecc out of them and will go there for the rest of their lives xx rip Argos, the most spoiled furball in the world. 🖤✨️

I have been taking my animals to Alta Mira for 27 years now. The staff is the best in the business. Very friendly, informative, and always take the time to explain the treatment/recovery options. My dogs are very anxious and require additional attention compared to most. When the time came to pick up my dogs they were attached to the staff. I've never seen this with any other individuals outside of my household. I instantly knew this was the place I would take my pets for a very long time to come. I would recommend this hospital to anyone who is looking for a care first hospital, who will take the time to listen to the pet owner and recommend care based off decades of experience. I would rate above 5 stars if possible. Thank you Alta Mira team for always making my pets and I feel welcome. <3

What an amazing place! I was so nervous to take my sweet little Foster dog for his check up at a place that was new to us but from the moment I walked in the door it was such a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. First of all instead of the sterile environment of most chaotic Veterinary places, it was so quiet and peaceful and very tasteful Antiques and vintage photos of dogs and cats. We were taken right in and greeted with such kindness. Never before has my sweet elderly dog been happy to be at a vet. He usually tries to hide under my feet or Escape if possible. But as you can see from the photo here he actually just fell asleep on the table because they were so peaceful and gentle! I could not recommend them enough!
