I did an application for this store. First interview date I get a message I can interview on Sunday at 12:30. So I arrive before the time. Talk to Terry he was rude talking about he didn't set no interview up for Sunday. Talking about who told you to come I look back at the text and said Hunter store manager. He ask could I come back Monday. I came back Monday at 2 still no interview. I knew Monday was going to be busy because it's the first of the month. I also knew from my experience Sunday that Monday was not going to be good. So if you looking for a job don't apply at this store. I will not even ever shop at this store again.
Store only has 3 carts, 2 of which were being used by employees. One employee, even when done using the cart, put it behind the register so no one could use it. Couldn't shop for more than 10 minutes due to bad back. Will not be back. Prices were also higher than other goodwill stores.
I would give 0 stars if I could. I have young kids and I like to go shopping with them. We went to this location because it was on our way home from Walmart. My oldest 4 year old, can’t talk yet. So he brought a stuff animal toy to me to ask if we could get it and a lady that worked there came up to us in front of everyone that was shopping and yelled at us are you going buy that toy your kid is playing with. If not you need to not let them play with them. Looking on the comments on this place looks like she’s still the one everyone’s talking about and still works there. I would avoid shooing here or donating at this location.
My daughter & I stopped in on our way to visit a relative in the hospital. We rummaged through the children's bin knowing all kids bin items are $1.69 & if the item is under 24mnths it's $1.49. My daughter picked up 2 dresses size 4T & I grabbed 1 summer skirt 3T & 1 cotton vest 24mnths. This employee tried to tell us any item over 24mnth was $3.15. We told her they were in the bin. She said customers take things off the hangers & toss them in the bin. This made NO sense to us. I told her that I could pull 20 items out of those bins that was over 24mnths. Absolutely ridiculous. There are adult bins for men, women & children. I've never experienced anything like this ever in all my years of shopping at Goodwill. Needless to say she needed the proper training & education on Goodwill bin prices. We left outraged.
Prices are written directly onto merchandise with a sharpie, not sure why they dont use the tags or use stickers. Then the cashier was loudly airing out dirty laundry with another customer/friend and completely ignored everyone else. No eye contact, just continued to talk about her personal business with the friend with absolutely no regard to the customers in line waiting. She kept talking to them as we were paying, didn't even acknowledge us at all. Incredible lack of customer service skills. First and last time to this store.
I feel that Goodwill stores have, on the whole, declined quite a bit in terms of the quality and selection of goods and the pricing. That said, this location is clean and well-organized, and I had great luck with the books today. I do wish they would place the artwork on something higher off the ground as stooping low and trying to move heavy frames is uncomfortable. The cashier was friendly and quick though, so I will likely stop in again and do some digging.
