I have adopted three of my most precious loves from Umbrella of Hope (and flew across the country to do so). I deeply appreciate the work their volunteer-run rescue does to help so many animals in need. With a focus on special needs and senior pets, they do so much good in the world. Would (and will) adopt from them again.

This rescue is a labor of love and I can't say enough about them. It all works due to the efforts of volunteers who love animals. We adopted a fabulous older dog who needed expensive dental work. The cost was covered by UOH and their amazing donors. We were so grateful to them for saving our little guy, we could never have afforded it ourselves. They are THE BEST!

Not a good place to contact if you ever come across pitbulls in need, I found a pittie that had been hit by a car , unfortunately I'm not able to keep him so I posted him on Facebook and tried to find a home for him and some suggest to reach out to this "rescue"... Well I did all I got was a short and stern response saying that they are not animal control and I shall take him to the pound the one thing that I was not obviously willing to do, I'll take care of him until I'm able to find a compassionate person or rescue that's willing to help him

We adopted our beloved Moosehead almost 8 years ago. These folks are amazing. I have followed the organization on Facebook for years and I am always amazed at the dedication and love they have to save these animals and show them the way to their forever home. ❤️❤️❤️

Another rescue volunteer told me to message this place on social media. Though I’d heard of them I’d never really looked into them. Anyways I got this very snarky remark. If I’m the public how am I expected to know any of this? I would have preferred to never have received a response from them than to be talked down to this way. Here I am, a concerned fellow rescuer trying to help a poor senior cat with a deadline and I’m met with an insulting response. Rescue world is exhausting, trust me I know. I rescue independently. But why would you respond to a person sharing a euthanasia listed cat this way? I hope this social media person has the night they deserve. They’re clearly run down and need to retire

Ignore any bad reviews. We adopted a little elderly guy from these folks a few years back and he was a wonderful boy. They take elderly dogs (and some special needs dogs) from shelters that would other wise get put down and find them homes. These are very noble people. One of the few places we donate money to. They are very deserved of your donations so please help out. When we have space again, we will come back and get another dog from them (we are good with special needs dogs) Please support this organization.
