Incredible things happened here; my cat racked up a bill of over $17,000, and they told me it's either euthanasia or a referral to a urology specialist. Since you're not urology specialists, you should have referred us after ruling out emergencies for the cat. After they operated on my cat and observed it for half a month, when I said I couldn't afford more bills, they gave me the ultimatum of euthanasia or a urology referral, requiring another $20,000. Since you're not urology specialists, the correct approach would have been to arrange a referral after assessing my cat's financial situation. But you didn't. It wasn't until I told them I couldn't afford more bills that they allowed me to arrange euthanasia or a referral. This is something I can't accept and can't comprehend. Even more terrifying, they texted me during my cat's hospital stay, saying it contracted an eye disease that has become very severe and spread to my other cat. The treatment has been ongoing for almost three months, costing thousands of dollars. I have to administer four different eye drops every day, spaced 10 minutes apart. I've been dealing with my cat's eye disease for over two months, with no certainty of when its eye health will recover. In our extensive communication about my cat's eye issues, they feel no responsibility. I fail to understand why you can be so irresponsible towards customers!

5 stars for the crew at VCA Emergency and Referral Center. My American Bully had to have surgery to remove cystine stones. Some of the stones were fused to the inside of his urethra. Very scary surgery but Dr. Sartor is an absolute Rock Star and she completed the surgery successfully. I am beyond grateful for the miracle she performed. I also have to say that the entire staff was great. I'll admit that before the surgery I was apprehensive after reading online reviews. After actually having been a patient here now, I can say that you should take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. You have to remember that people are bringing their pets here because the animal is not doing well and in need of serious help. I think people expect a miracle and then get mad at this facility when a miracle wasn't able to be performed. I've had dogs my whole life and I'm extremely selective about their care. My boy is doin great and I owe it all to Dr. Sartor and the incredible staff here.

My beautiful Sophie cat was only 17 but not feeling well. I took to to vet and the said she had failing kidneys and gave me a diet for her. She responded well. Months later she quit eating and I took her to this place. They did Xray and said one of her kidneys was enlarged and to take her to vet. He told me no enlarged kidney. She had a seizure one night to I took her to this place and vet said it was probably not a seizure but a convulsion. They took her in the back and came out to tell me she had a seizure so they sedated her with Valium (without my permission) They told me she would by pretty much comotose and lose brain function and I should put her down. They never explained to me about seizures or that they are treatable. I put my sweet girl down that night but always had questions. These people are in the business of putting animals down, not treating them. NEVER EVER TAKE A PET HERE.

We came into the emergency with our kitty yesterday due to her breathing. We came to find out she had heart failure. The doctor was very nice and we ruled out all options. We spent $1,300 to get our kittys fluid around her lungs drained. After doing so she seemed better and we were able to bring her home. Unfortunately a few hours later of her being home she seemed worse from when we took her to the ER. We came back around midnight and they confirmed she had fluid in her lungs and around again. We had to make the hardest decision to put her down. They made our experience comfortable and peaceful. The staff was amazing. It was so hard to see our kitty fargo go. Thank you to the staff and the lady that was there for the transition to our little fur baby going to heaven. She made us feel comfortable and made sure we got to say all our goodbyes and be there with her during the transition. Thank you again to the staff at VCA for trying there best to help our kitty and making her feel comfortable.

Thank god for VCA Emergency! I am extremely thankful for this staff who saved my 2 puppies from Parvo! The doctor called me to inform me about her condition and how they would do everything they could to save her as it’s not a guarantee. I spoke with the doctor for 30 mins and she was compassionate and caring! We spent two nights at VCA and both doctors were caring and extremely helpful. I called several times throughout the night for updates and they provided updates. It was clear communication throughout the entire process and my two puppies are home now recovering from parvo. It’s been an extremely sad couple days but I am super thankful for this staff! From the front desk Andres provided amazing customer service and the doctors are extremely caring! Thank you for saving my babies life!! Forever grateful 😇

Please for the sake of your pet and yourself AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Unethical, immoral and will do anything and everything to scare you about your pets health condition just to charge you thousands of dollars. Once they tell you your pet is in critical condition they say you must make a payment of $2700 for them to help her. They won’t tell you what that $2700 charges consist of, aside from “she’s in critical condition it’s what we need to stable her”. Once you make the payment they tell you she’s doing alot better and run several of unnecessary tests just to charge even more. The prices of these tests compared to other emergency rooms are so far different.
