Came here urgently after spending days and a couple thousand at a high end vet with no solution. On Wednesday 4/17 Dr. Rykoff got us in and promptly got us rolling to find out what was happening to my cat and how to get him stable. Despite her being booked she made time for us to stop in on Thursday, Friday and plan to again tomorrow on Saturday. Finally feeling like we are getting somewhere with my cat bouncing back. Dr R really cares, knows what she’s doing and is a honest vet. I only regret not coming to her sooner. I will definitely continue to come with all of my pet needs. ❤️
Dr. Rykoff is fantastic. Outstanding, honest and caring Dr. We have had her care for our animals, from horses, dogs and cats for over 30 yrs. She is truly a special person and Dr.
I love taking my pets here. She saved my OZZY. He’s lab/pit mix. One night I went to feed my pup and he didn’t move didn’t get up his eyes were just sad. I gave him cheese didn’t touch it. I even tried a HOTDOG and he didn’t move. I called everywhere that night because he didn’t want to eat. I can barely get him to move. No one would take him no hospital no doctor. I started to panick. I was in tears so upset I thought he was going to die that night he couldn’t get up at all. Dr. Rykoff called me back and took him! My husband had to carry him into the truck because he was so weak. rushed to Hoffman estates. She Ran some tests gave us medicine for the night. The next day we found out he had low blood plateletes. She didn’t sugar coat anything told us the good and the bad which I totally appreciate. Brought him back in gave us a week worth of meds for him and thank god he was good after 1 day. Happy eating and ready for his walks. I don’t understand the bad reviews. I have a new tiny dog I’m taking to her and because she’s so tiny she’s spreading out doing her vaccines because she’s so tiny. Now to me that’s a vet who cares! she’s a kind and caring to my babies I won’t go no where else.
My dog needs to cut her hair because there is a lot of chocolate syrup and gum on her hair. It can't be removed by water so I need a vet. This vet was also recommended by my friend. So I went there with my dog, Ali. I park my car since there are a lot of parking areas. When I entered there was someone who assisted us and I told them what I needed for my dog. They start assisting my dog and I wait here in the waiting area. It took so long to cut my dog's hair since Ali was not comfortable with someone. I'm glad that she has no scars. It was too expensive compared to other stores.
Dr. Rykoff is an excellent vet. She is exceptionally competent and seeks to resolve pet health issues in a pragmatic, but compassionate way. Services are fairly priced and she incorporates (what I would consider) more non-traditional (holistic, I guess?) treatments along with traditional methods which have yielded positive results. I have a highly pedigreed working dog and often feel like other vets just see dollars signs when I bring him in for care, but that is not the case with her. I have seen several complaints about responsiveness, but I have not had this issue with her and have found her (and her office staff) to be flexible and accommodating.
I have been working mostly with Jose and our new dog who has hip issues. The water therapy seems to be helping her and Jose is always so kind. You can tell he has a deep love for animals and their welfare. Dr Rykoff is a wonderful vet, we are on our second dog with her and she is very loving towards our animals.
