We’ve had them as our veterinarians for 20 year, 5 dogs and a cat. They have always shown a lot of compassion and caring for us and our pets. They go above and beyond and we’ve always had good experiences with them. We’ve often recommended them to our friends.
I'm sad to say this if you make an appointment you have to deposit $50 for the appointment but if you cancel they won't refund your $50 back to you. So you loss you $50 the best ill offer is just look around as some animal clinic won't charge you anything. TWO THUMPS DOWN ... IF YOU WANT TO LOSS YOUR $50 GO HEAD AFTER YOU CANCEL ""NO REFUND"" ... 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
Used to take my dog here about 4 years ago before I moved away, and it was the best vet in town. After moving back to Albuquerque, I made my pups’ vaccine appointments at Northview despite living 45 minutes away because I enjoyed the clinic so much. On the day of my appointment I got stuck in rush hour traffic, so I called to let Northview know that I was going to be 12 minutes late - they made me reschedule. When I arrived early for the rescheduled appointment, I waited forty minutes before having to reschedule my appointment again and not receiving service. There is a double standard on time management at this vet, and if you decide to work with them, I would advise you reserve an extra hour out of your personal schedule.
This place is awesome. Dogs even calmly wait to see their favorite Dogtor. Dr. Kip Lempke (Dr. Helper is nice too) the techs and office staff are all very sweet too.
Have been going to Northview since 2005 and won't go anywhere else. Dr. Helper has been amazing through the journey of erlichiosis and thrombocytopenia with my most recent rescue pupper. The clinic staff are kind and supportive.
My dog hurt himself over the weekend and when I called first thing in the morning they were able to see him same day. So if you have a problem try calling at 7:30am and see if they have had any cancellations. I was very grateful as it is difficult to get a same day appointment unless you go to an emergency vet. I dealt with Rihanna on the phone and she was very helpful with letting me know what my options were and getting things setup so we could come in ASAP. Once on-site they were quick, courteous, professional, and safe. With Covid restrictions in place they were doing paperwork and preliminary inspection in vehicle. After that they took my dog right in. They were very careful to go slow as he was nervous and he responded positively to this attitude. It was almost like he was going for a walk with a friend. The wait was nerve racking and I thought it would take longer but Dr. Helper (and what an awesome name) called back quickly and had answers to all of my questions. When he explained the issue he pointed out that, while he had done similar surgeries in the past, this would be a bit more complex and he would felt a better job could be done by another surgeon. I've never had a vet say that to me about any sort of care before today. It was very comforting and reassuring to be honest. This clinched it as Northview being 5 stars in this review. I'm in the process of adopting another dog and now both of my little friends will be going to Northview for all their regular checkups and emergencies alike. Dr. Helper splinted my dogs leg in preparation for travel to the surgeons office and went over all the information I was leaving with over the phone. When I came to pickup Petrie a little later Jackie went over the same information almost word for and made sure I knew what we could expect. Thanks to everyone at Northview and when Petrie is back on his feet (and Covid is over) I'll bring him in for a visit. You guys deserved every penny and more for all you did today.
