Tickled Pink is one of the best rescues out there. They take in the broken, abandoned neglected and medical weimaraners from all over the southwest. They get each pup vetted and into a loving foster home before finding their forever home. I have adopted several weims from Tickled Pink. Each one of my pups had a horrible start to their life and now are living the life they deserve because of TPWR. The people complaining about the adoption process need to remember these dogs are precious souls who were abused, neglected and let down by their owners. TPWR wants to ensure your commitment to adopt a forever pup is real and forever!

Our experience with Tickled Pink Weimaraner Rescue was beyond exceptional. The thoroughness of the application process demonstrated to us early on how well cared for these rescues are and the lengths they go to to assure these precious animals are adopted into safe, loving homes with responsible owners. We adopted an adult Weimaraner and one of her pups. Our adult Weimaraner was in TPWR’s care when she delivered 11 pups. The Foster Mom caring for her was up with her all night through the delivery keeping her as safe and comfortable as possible and keeping impeccable records of the births. It is difficult to explain how much that means to us now that we have these wonderful Weimaraners in our home and have come to love them so very immensely. Even though we traveled across country to adopt our rescues, the adoption process was seamless thanks to TPWR organization and preparation and due to the wonderful, wise advice given to us by TPWR to prepare ourselves. What has amazed us the most is the genuine caring follow up after adoption. TPWR kindly remains a resource as needed and with the many dogs they lovingly and generously help, they still manage to remember us and make us feel special. I find this amazing considering TPWR tends to take in the more difficult rescues cases requiring medical care and recuperation back to health. We are coming up on 3 years since our adoption and TPWR remains so special to our household. We are literally across to US from TPWR, but because we cannot imagine finding a more dedicated rescue, when the time comes in the future TPWR will be our first consideration for another rescue. I simply cannot find the words to express how truly outstanding this organization is!!!!!

I was so disappointed in the slow response time when I contacted the rescue about adopting a Weimaraner. They were pleasant enough in their emails but slow and not very helpful. No one even called me or provided a number when I asked. They charge a $20 application fee and most rescues do not charge for the application. I finally gave up as the process was so slow and cumbersome. When I told them.... I did not get any answer back nor did they offer a refund. I understand it is volunteers but for the sake of the dogs it needs to be run better.

The process of getting a weimy is ridiculous. From the crazy long adoption form I filled out that took me three hours, to the “charity donation” that they gladly accepted but never heard from after multiple emails. After a year on the waiting list I ended up buying a weim from Texas, don’t waste your time here.
