I adopted a Pitbull terrier Black Lab mix puppy in January. TLC has been a great experience and place to deal with. She is an amazing dog. I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else to adopt.

We have adopted two cats from TLC Animal Shelter. You can really tell that this shelter loves and cares for all the animals that come in their doors. We just adore our animals.

Not the biggest fan of this place.. the only thing I like about it is the quick turnaround for the animals however… 90% of dogs go home with kennel cough and fleas. Many many dogs are adopted out with no specific individual care instructions.. which is upsetting as there are dogs that have been severely neglected that come through… they don’t take the time to treat them before adopting out.. or help the new owners navigate through it. Any adoption fee over $200 is not worth being called adoption.. they are pocketing your money. They are very generic with descriptions, many dogs aren’t dog friendly but are said to be. I’ve had 3/4 clients adopt sick dogs from here the past year… which one had to be put down just 2 weeks after adoption. No refund or explanation was given to the owners. I swung by last year to check out a cat.. they told me the cat was $300 plus her altering cost.. I had pointed out the cat is already fixed, she has stitches.. he argued with me for a couple minutes telling me I was wrong.. and then realized I was right. If you’re inexperienced and don’t have extensive knowledge on animals.. these people will take any opportunity to take money from you.. they also will make it very easy for you to take an animal home.. which is great for the actual responsible owners that again have extensive knowledge.. for amateurs this is a nightmare.

TLC Animal Shelter is an amazing facility that houses homeless dogs, cats, and other animals. The shelter is immaculately maintained by professional, knowledgeable, kind employees. Their adoption process is animal-centered and adoptee-friendly. You are able to interact with the animals, ask questions about them, and take them home the same day in most cases. TLC also offers the best after-adoption support if there are any health or behavioral issues; the expert management is highly responsive and resolves anything that comes up. They are a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of the community for donations to keep this family-owned shelter going strong. If you are looking to adopt a fuzzy family member, please go to TLC to do it!

They are a very kind and caring place. My mother-in-law had approximately 20 feral cats living in her house and they were the ONLY no kill shelter that took them in (3 at a time) that found them all loving homes!!

I had the best experience at Tender Loving Care recently. The shelter was clean, the staff was friendly and the animals seemed taken care of. We adopted Willow (formerly Twinkles) last week and she has been the best addition to our family.
