Description "We are a non-profit organization saving and re homing animals for a better life."
My husband and I came in to drop off some donations to honor our fur baby that we lost a year ago. The director greeted us and thanked us. She even came out to help us bring the donations in. This is a local shelter that does not get any local or state funding. They are strictly run off of donations and the income from their thrift store. So, please help support them if you're able. They do a wonderful job of taking care of all the animals in their care. The animal caretakers will always earn my respect as that is not always an easy job. I was once in their shoes. If you're able to volunteer, they could use the extra help. LHS, keep up the amazing work! You are appreciated!
The ladies who were there are phenomenal! Keeping all the 75+ kittens, adults and senior kitties clean and well fed. Meagan knew every one of her furry charges by name and was extremely helpful in sharing their history. So many of these precious little souls need families to love and adore them. 🥰
Found my little kitty soulmate here. I never grew up with cats, only dogs, due to my mom having an allergy, but I always knew I'd love a cat someday. My boyfriend and I came in 1.5 months ago to adopt a kitten. They only had around 2-3 left, so I highly recommend calling ahead to check out before the babies can go home because they are in high demand :) We adopted this sweet baby named Sora (Was named Ronan at the shelter.) My gosh, he is perfect. So loving, so sweet, loves cuddling and laying on my neck, never has once hissed etc and even though I know all cats are different, I think a lot of his temperament is due to how he was treated here. It's clear that all the babies there, cats/dogs etc are shown SOO much love and care. All the kittens in the room came up to my boyfriend and I and were so excited to see people, so they are very socialized. The workers were very sweet and friendly, Peg and Debbie G. are great. I have sent update photos and they have been so sweet too. We eventually want to adopt another kitten for Sora to have a friend within the next year, and we will DEFINITELY be coming back here! Thank you all for what you do for these babies!
I went there to look for myself a kitten, they had so many, at that time there were over 100 cats . The lady put me in an area with quite a few cats and I finally found Bella. The ladies were very cordial and got me a chair to sit in to see which cat would come to me. Bella was 3 years old and now she is so spoiled. I’ve got Bella playing ball and she’ll bring me a ball to throw for her to chase. She’s a lot of company to me and she loves people. Thank you ladies, one day I will bring Bella in for you to see how big she has gotten, Ms Spratt
I am going to become a volunteer for the Leesburg humane society to go in and like pet the cats maybe walk the dogs help clean change litter whatever I can do to help. They currently have over 150 cats and they take volunteers on very very quickly the cats love to be petted and they need homes so bad and they're all very much people oriented.
The staff are wonderful and very friendly. Elizabeth and Debbie assisted us in making the perfect match. Actually, Fenway (Bastista) picked us, and we feel so lucky. He is the sweetest and cuddles all the time ❤️ He loves to look out the window!
