Unfortunately, I was not able to adopt a cat through these guys. I believe my application is still being processed, having now been 3 days since I first submitted AND spoke with someone. My understanding is that they are still trying to get ahold of my landlord...yes, that's right, before I can adopt they need to speak with my landlord because they didn't believe me when I said it is within our tenant agreement for me to have a cat. My landlord travels a lot and it can be difficult to reach him, but I have text messages of our conversation proving/confirming it's alright. The application also had quite a lot of personal questions, like asking for contacting information for my work...I'm not sure if they are also trying to verify that I have a steady job, which of course I do. At any rate, I simply went to Pet Haven in Nampa this morning and adopted a cat right on the spot with minimal questions asked. The entire process lasted under an hour and they were able to hook me up with coupons for food/litter, so I 100% recommend Pet Haven. Overall, I understand the folks at the Feral Cat Project are concerned that their cats will have a good home, but ultimately this has delayed the process, really soured the experience, and turned me off from adopting simply by the sheer amount if personal information needed to adopt a cat. Hopefully others have a better experience.

I wish I could have brought home all the kitties. I adopted a pair of brothers and they have made my home complete. I'm so grateful that OFC didn't want to separate the brothers. Seeing them play together has been amazing and just the sweetest experience 💕.

We went there to adopt a kitten and came home with the cutest 1 yr old tuxedo male. The people there were extremely sweet and helpful.

What a wonderful shelter for community kitties. They are a true blessing!!! I've sponsored kitties and adopted. Love supporting them by taking recycling and supplies needed. Please support this amazing organization that helps find home for kitties. Run by volunteers and truly provide so much for the animals.

We tried to adopt a kitten through the Ontario Feral Cat project. We waited five days to find out that the cat had already been adopted after we had put her on hold. After expressing my frustration, I learned that they are severely understaffed and I asked that next time we be notified right away. The response I got said they were unable to reach my landlord, and then a large list of personal life issues the staff is having as a reason I did not hear back.

It wasn't at a permanent place yet, or rarely known. But over the last 9-10yrs this place has been very helpful in getting us cat food when we couldn't afford it, spending and neutering our cats. I appreciate everything they have done for us in the past 10yrs. I hope they are still serving our community for in the years ahead. Thank you all. Below is a picture of Scrappy Doo.
