We filled out an application in hopes of meeting and adopting Vader. We’ve tried emailing, messaging and calling and no one will reach out to us. Since you can’t call the farm, the other location just tells us that the farm gets the applications and they can’t help. We adopted a dog here 15 years ago (straight out of college, with no fence) who passed away from old age. I have no idea why we wouldn’t be able to adopt another or why they won’t at least reach out and tell us why we can’t adopt? Unbelievable we have to try this hard to rescue a dog in need.

Very clean and friendly staff here.

I have never seen a shelter this wonderful but better is the remarkably kind staff and their true care of the animals looking for new homes. The medical attention given ensuring they come to you as perfect as perfect can is like nothing I've ever seen. Michael who assist us with our adoption went out of his way to send pictures after our first visit and texted us details after the Vet's check up and spading. I've had shelter/rescue dogs in the past, this place put all other to shame. Thank you for our new family member!

The volunteers and staff work so hard to care for each dog or horse that is given to this humane society. If they need love, training or have pre-existing conditions, it is dealt with. If they have medical needs, it is taken care of. The dog houses are heated and air conditioned, as well as cleaned (and they are fed) twice a day, plus the volunteers interact with them as much as possible. The horses have stall and pasture time, depending on the season, and the staff is so knowledgeable about these beautiful and majestic animals. The whole facility is so clean and you can see how much love and effort everyone puts into their "jobs". The cats are housed at another facility in Fairfax City.

The supervisor and staff are absolutely terrible. They won’t approve an adoption if there are younger kids involved in the family even if you have a history w taking care of animals. I tried getting in touch numerous times only to never receive a call back or pick up to the phone. I only had one chance to speak to the supervisor and that was when and I had to drive out and they wouldn’t let me in the staff was completely lost and didn’t know what to do until one of them let me in and got the supervisor which you can’t even call her that because she lacked professionalism in every aspect possible couldn’t even keep eye contact w me she had no idea of what was going on and couldn’t explain anything but when I mentioned kids under the age of 4 she said I can’t adopt very disappointed.

Very disappointed. Communication and professionalism lacking. Inquired about a dog for over a month, filled out 2 applications and sent numerous emails and phone calls to set up an appointment to meet the dog...ignored by all. Today, the dog is off the website. Not a good way to do business.
