The moment we heard that Titus, a neutered male kitten, had just had his right rear leg amputated, we knew he was the cat we wanted. He would replace Pounce, our spayed female three-legged cat, who passed on about 18 months ago, after 20 years with us. The shelter is a non-kill site, and we had planned to adopt a spayed mama cat as soon as her kittens were old enough to do without her. No mamas had come in yet to be rescued--but there was Titus with his sweet face, and our home already set up for a three-legged cat! It was meant to be...
What a great facility and staff! Our community appreciates the important work of animal rescue provided by Cedar City Animal Control. Brittany, the manager, is kind and resourceful and makes sure that each animal gets the care it needs. Successful placement rate is high at this location. Facility is clean and well kept!
I went to adopt a kitten and the first people to greet me were so sweet. I had mentioned that I wanted an outdoor kitten and no one seemed to have a problem with it. I finally picked the kitten I wanted and went to ask some more questions to clarify things and one of the workers or volunteers went off about how none of the kittens were outdoor kittens. She went on to say that she wouldn’t send me home with roadkill and basically gave me no options. She was very condescending, and I left with no kitten
Diesel fits into our busy lifestyle just perfectly! We all adore him! Thank you CCAC ❤️
Best shelter experience and $60 we ever spent. We adopted "13" now known as "Rubi" in early November and love every minute with her. The woman (sorry forgot your name) who runs the shelter is amazing and every staff person we met were wonderful too.
Decided on a rescue companion this time (after ~10 years of loss). I made the right choice 😀. More attn, yes but a worthy endeavor. These people are great! They need our help though. Although they are just now moving to a new, up to date facility they will always need our support. DONATE and adopt. Costs were better than I've seen in four states considering ALL options. My dog was very well cared for making the decision easier. No problems. $65 plus city license $10. All done on site including spay, all shots (in my presence) and a chip/ i.d.. Beat that! A free vet- check says 👍. I'm very please with all of it! Thanks to a wonderful crew in Cedar City, Utah 🎆🖐️
