Description "Each VCA hospital has health and safety protocols in place based on health care best practices as well as state and local guidance and regulations."
We had a very scary experience with our new puppy that could’ve turned fatal, as she had Parvo virus and coccidia. The staff gave us the choice of hospitalization or at home care around the clock. They taught us how to do IV’s and injections along with other meds plus treatments for the the yard. We weren’t sure for days if she would survive; Dr. Hughes checked on her regularly. Our puppy is doing great now. Thank you to Dr. Hughes and VCA Wakulla staff for helping save her life!!
Dr. Chalker and her staff are great! They spend time explaining your pet's care requirements and answer any questions you have in a very detailed and understandable manner. They realize your pet is a member of your family and treat them that way. I highly recommend them! Also failed to mention Dr. O'Brien, have had her in the past and also excellent!
There is no place better for my senior dog Izzie. From start to finish professional and friendly staff that always goes the extra mile! I have been with Dr. Faith Hughes for 16 years with my Cocker Spaniel and Jack Russell. When she is not available all of the Veterinarians are 10 out of 10! Thank you VCA Wakulla Animal Hospital for taking such great care of us!
The staff was amazing very friendly and professional, Dr Linda was awesome, she is very thorough, diligent, professional and she ensure in details everything is explained and understood. My babies were very comfortable
They can take an appointment, but can't keep it. Glad their incompetence showed on a grooming instead of them ever actually getting the chance to do any type of medical care for our pups. I am grateful for that, cause they BAD folks.
I do not want to bash anyone's hard work as I know working long hard hours can put a strain on anyone. However, I took my dog to the vet on a Friday. I spent $750 for a check up, 2 shots, bloodwork and 2 medications. I am very grateful the medication has seemed to help my dog immensely. The bad part is I was told I would get a call Saturday for the results of my 12 year old dogs bloodwork to make sure he is okay. As that Friday my doctor told me my dog could have early onset dementia or a brain tumor. Here it is Tuesday of the following week and I have called twice (once on Monday & once on Tuesday) to ask for the results of the blood test. Both times I have called the receptionist they have told me that they HAVE the bloodwork in office but the doctor who saw me won't be in until later this week. No worries they tell me a different doctor will call me by the end of the day, they tell me this on Monday at 11:59 am and Tuesday 12:22pm when I call. I still have yet to receive a call back as of 4:40pm Tuesday. They tell me Mondays & Tuesdays are surgery days, which I can understand but I do not understand why I was not notified on Saturday, when I was supposed to be notified. Or at the very least tell me my doctor won't be in and someone else will need to call me when they get the time. To just leave me in the dark, wondering and thinking the worst for my elderly dog when my doctor said he either has dementia or a brain tumor has been a huge scare and emotional. I really hope my dogs bloodwork comes out as he is perfectly fine with no organ failures because it seems to me they do not care to give me a call back. Update: It took my husband calling them at 5:00 Tuesday for the receptionist to get up and grab a doctor to talk to him...
