*Based off adoption held at Apalachee Parkway PetSmart* I came to look at the cats and hopefully adopt. When I was outside the glass, a volunteer (young white female with a dirty blonde bob type hair cut) saw me gazing at the cats. I didn’t know she was a volunteer initially - I thought she was taking a turn petting the cats. When I asked an employee if someone was overseeing the cats, they mentioned someone should be in there - THE FEMALE THAT SAW ME AND DIDNT SAY A DAMN THING TO ME - and the employee went toward the back to find someone. This time, a black male (thin build, bandana, loc type hair) and a black female (black wig, slightly heavy set) saw me looking at the cats and proceeded to go inside. Need I mind you, I HEARD the employee mention to the volunteer I wanted to go in and see the cats. They BOTH went inside, were having a conversation, LOOKED AT ME AGAIN, and walked to the back of the store. These have to be the most ignorant, disrespectful, hateful volunteers I’ve ever encountered. I feel bad for the cats because unless the next person doesn’t give a damn about someone feelings, they won’t get adopted because the volunteers are only there to get their community hours and go about their day. I hope PetSmart partners with a different rescue center in the future because this one is not it… sad part is this is NOT the first time this happened! I hope you all bring on better volunteers that actually want to be involved moving forward. *to those volunteers, be grateful I was in a good mood because I would’ve posted yall pictures so everyone knows how ignorant yall are!*
