Description We are a veterinary clinic with a focus on the human-animal bond. We are open during the weekends to help dogs and cats with medical issues. While we strive to focus on preventive medicine, we will see emergency cases and walk ins, but appointments are preferred.

They didn't just care for our beloved Pitbull Marley, may he rest in peace, but they shared and expressed their deepest concerns for our family. The staff was wonderful. Thank you for taking away his pain. He will always be missed.
They are just so good with all the pups we've had. They're super gentle and friendly. They're great with our socially challenged dog as well as our new puppy. Our puppy loves the vet. She knows she'll be getting loved on by the staff and given treats. The staff are patient, and you can tell they are genuinely passionate about their work. They are well priced and give great advice about pet care.
No! Don't go here! This was our 3rd visit. I've noticed they push to only make appts where you see the techs only and tell you your saving money by not having to see the Dr.... but then the techs can't do anything. They can't answer your questions, they can't even look into his ears. This time I made sure to schedule an appt for him with the Dr! So, for the 3rd visit I brought my dog in to have his anal glands expressed. He'd had it done once before at Kokopelli and was fine. This visit, we decided to start him on heartworm prevention medication as well, so they did the heartworm test 1st and said it was negative and they could go ahead and give him a heartworm shot that lasts 6 months. When he came back in the room he was a completely different dog! Please keep in mind when we got there he was happy, running around, giving kisses.... now they bring him back to me after doing his anal glands and the shot. He was lethargic, completely dead weight, he couldn't stand. He would try and was vomiting uncontrollably. He started pooping as well. His eyes were watery and he looked like he was dying. The 2 girls/ techs that were in the room were great! They were sweet, compassionate and tried to be very reassuring that he was just "stressed". After 5 minutes they finally took my dog in the back to show the Dr and came back not 2 minutes later and said the Dr says the heartworm shot did not cause this and its stress. We were in the room another 15 minutes or so with him sick still and because I was afraid to leave the Dr office in case something was going very wrong! Not once did the Dr come back in the room to check on him! I really couldn't believe it! Your supposed to love animals and take care of them and you haven't checked on mine once since he got so sick and is laying there suffering!! Besides the whole 2 minutes when the techs brought him back to you. My dog was sick for another 3 days after that. I was hesitant to go here from the start due to some bad reviews I read, but... there were also good ones and Kokopelli is 3 minutes away from me so I figured I'd try it. Screw convenience!!! I'll drive to Bosque if I have to just too take him to a Vet I trust and who takes their time with my pet....my family member!!! We will not be returning! I've also noticed in reviews they never actually accept responsibility for anything or any sympathy, just a couple sentences of a response that deflects away from your actual concern.
These vets are amazing! They are compassionate and skilled. When most vets, it seems, are motivated by money, these folks genuinely care for their clients. They recognize that they are a part of our family. Sadly, I have had to put one of my kitties and two dogs to sleep after long, and i hope ,happy lives. At different times, but they came out to my home and were so caring and lovely and showed such kindness to my fur babies, and myself during this heartbreaking moment. I was so grateful to them.
I had several good experiences with this vet practice in the last 3 years. However, customer service deteriated within the last year and a severe lack of empathy or front desk staff understanding the situations or questions being asked and relaying appropriately. I understand they are the only vet locally open over the weekend therefore, understand the high volume and lack of appointments. Do not count on being seen within a 2-3 week period regardless of how serious. Not a good option for those with pets that have chronic conditions or senior. A good option for younger and more stable pets. Also, do not expect the vet to be willing to answer questions via phone when you can not get in and you are dismissed when you seek outside vet sources because of availability. - To their comment my pet had been seen by them on multiple occasions which, goes against speaking to other vet practices and policies in addition any other vet that the pet saw also transferred vet records to you directly. I was seeking a quality of life checklist as we preferred as a family in home euthanasia. In addition there was never verbal abuse directed at your staff and I've made many vocal and written thank you's to your staff. Expressing displeasure and frustration does not equate to verbal abuse.
Kokopelli Animal Clinic, is probably one of the best animal clinics I have been too. From the beginning to the end of our appointment the staff were very friendly. The assistant and doctor were understandable, knowledgable, and very helpful, also very sweet and gentle with Lucy. I am so glad I took my fur baby here to get the answers I needed. Highly recommend!
