Went to pick out a hamster tonight with my daughter, who has spent the last year researching hamsters. She was so incredibly excited to meet her new friend. However, the lady who we had asked for help to purchase a hamster acted as if we were idiots who ruined her cleaning schedule. She was rude, barely helpful and obviously ready to go home. We were asked 3 different times if we already had an enclosure set up due to not buying one from the overpriced options. (Answer, yes.) Which is fine, just don't be rude to a little girl who has spent months saving up for her first self-bought pet. Luckily, miss (Waffles Tofu, Butterbean) will still be well loved despite the lackluster experience.

This is not just this store & I will remove when they reverse this: Get the goldfish out of the tropical tanks! Goldfish = COLD WATER (54°F to 74°F) & different water conditions (they poop a lot, so they tolerate more ammonia/nitrate) Tropical = WARM WATER (75°F to 85°F depending on the fish) and fish die with high ammonia/nitrate levels THIS IS ANIMAL ABUSE. Do Better and get them out of there, you are killing/making all all your fish sick. Previous 5 star review (Sept 2018) Great selection of stuff!

I was in there today and was going to buy a snake and a new cage and spend over $300 and the guy was scared to show me the snake but then another worker walked over and said something to him and he asked me if I wanted to buy it I say I'm thinking so but give me a second to think about it. The other worker said something to the guy and he walked away from me and they just left me standing and waiting. I guess it's a sign I don't need to waste my money here very poor customer service. They lost a good sale and any future sales I was planning on making. I wish these reviews really made a difference but im sure with it being a big corporation they won't care to lose my business. Do better Petsmart

PetSmart Silverdale is awesome. Great service and employees. They also have a great veteran, with Banfield and a full service grooming service. Stay away from Gig Harbor PetSmart. They can't keep groomers their. The manager at that store is very disrespectful and condescending.

It's just a great place to bring your puppy with you so they can choose their own toy or snacks. All of the associates are very friendly and know their stuff..
