We were so pleased with the wonderful service that we received today from Dr. Sluys. She was so professional and gentle with our Boston Terrier and quickly diagnosed and treated the problem. We are so thankful that she has found her forever vet! We can't say enough wonderful things about the care we received.
Customer service is nice, but they are quite disorganized and don't communicate well. Also, my dog was not fond of one of the vets, but just fine with the rest of the staff. Also, it was frustrating that the optimal wellness plans feature to talk to someone online is just a vet tech person and not a veterinarian... so many questions can not be answered by them. Moreover, this banfield only has a certain amount of equipment, so if you need an ultrasound or something, you have to go somewhere else.
My dog had an in room appt this morning I was 5 minutes late and they wanted to call me they said they were gonna reschedule my appointment… since I showed up they took me in but warned me that they cannot do everything I needed done for my pet like the nail cut and ear clean, which I always do every time my dog has an appt. I don’t understand the time restriction on the in room appt they could've at least warned me before booking this kind of appt to begin with. It’s just rude and uncaring. All My dogs had been going to Banfield for years and the service before was good but not anymore, their mean and I’m done and ready to cancel all my dogs memberships.
please learn from me and do not take your pet here. i lost my soul cat at a routine visit for her dental cleaning and sanitary shave. i dropped her off not knowing i would never see her again or never get to say goodbye. they called me saying that they had trouble doing her comprehensive before putting her under anesthesia and that they were going to complete the comprehensive while she was under. they called me a couple of minutes later saying that they had an emergency with my cat and asked my permission to give cpr. they tried. cpr and it did not work. i have so much respect for vet staff and know that these things happen. however, my cat has had this routine visit a total of 4 other times and was okay. the phone call was incredibly traumatic that followed her passing. telling me that she was brain dead and all of that, and immediately asking what i wanted to do with her remains. the following days i got a voicemail when they referred to my baby as a he and didn’t even care to know her gender. i think they cared a lot about covering their own butts about the situation, and again i do not know for sure what happened and it may not be their fault but there was a lack of care before the anesthesia and the phone call was unprofessional and traumatic. andy was my soul cat. she was my first cat i got on my own in college and she got me through all of life’s ups and downs. i miss her so much. my world is shattered. she was my baby. if you can afford to please take your pet elsewhere
I take 7 of my 8 animals to banfield and I can't imagine going anywhere else. between 3 cats and 4 dogs they always keep me on track for appts and medications. anytime I have a concern I just call them up, drop off whichever animal I'm worried about & by the end at the latest they have some kina answers for me.
It’s so sad to see Banfield go down hill over the years, we bought into the Wellness plan for our 2 little dogs and it was great as we were full time RV’ers for 6yrs and They were almost all over the country. Now we are back in Kitsap County. The unfortunately my 17yr old MinPin had to be put down in February. In order to cancel the Wellness plan they had to determine the value of how much $ was spent and how much we owed and per their calculations I still owe them over $200. For my dead dog! Now my other 15yr old has a chronic cough which they saw him for In January, I tried to schedule an appointment and the 1st available is April 28th today is March 23rd and my dog is sick today. They had no suggestions than to find another vet or sympathy. So I found another vet and asked them to cancel his Wellness plan and waive any fees. They refuse. I’m really sad as we recommended this plan to others who also have been dissatisfied.
