Description "Each VCA hospital has health and safety protocols in place based on health care best practices as well as state and local guidance and regulations."
We've had a very good experience at the SE VCA, over multiple visits. Our dog Audrey had a difficult-to-diagnose pancreas deficiency and was dropping weight. Dr. Holmes helped us navigate a series of tests and was able to pinpoint the issue to get Audrey the medicine she needed. She's now much healthier and has gained back all of her lost weight. Audrey is also very anxious at the vet, and all of the vets at VCA have shown patience and compassion to her, and a willingness to meet her halfway to get her the care she needs. Good folks here.
My wife and have had to put down our beloved Great Pyrenes, Capone last week. VCA Southeast Portland Animal Hospital helped us through the most difficult grieving process and allowed us the compassion we truly needed. Extremely respectful and professional team members. I am so glad that they were there for us. There after hours emergency allowed us to give our Capone of 17 years a peaceful goodbye. They placed us in a private room and provided Capone with some medicine that allowed him to be calm and pain free and let us say good bye to our best friend with out trying to make us move or rushing us. I cannot say enough about this staff and how they handled our situation. I hope that the community can see what I saw last week with amount of help, guidance and passion they have for animals. Thank you for making such a difficult situation more bearable for our family. We are lost with our Capone but we know you helped him pass that rainbow bridge with dignity and pain free.
This clinic was Amazing! The staff there is so sweet and friendly. I was blown away by the level of service and patience they have with each person that walked through the door! They took amazing care of my dog in a stressful emergency situation! Take your fur babies here if you want top notch service/care for you and your pet! Thank you Stark VCA staff!!!
I took a stay, that I named Buddy in that I have been feeding for about 10 yrs. In 2016 I retired and he came around even more. He wouldn't come in the house and did hiss sometimes and even swiped at me. I made a nice bed in the garage and he then came all the time. For over two weeks he became lethargic and had obvious injuries. He had been injured about 5 times from another cat through the years. He would never let me touch the injuries. I knew he was in bad shape, so I took him to the SE Animal Hospital to be euthanized, it was the best thing for him. I couldn't watch so I trusted them. They called MCAS and they now have him!! He's stressed and in worse shape do to being caged. I can't believe this was done. You guys can't be trusted. I'm now more upset than I was. He's not adoptable. I can't believe this was done. People don't trust this Animal Hospital. The Dr even said Buddy was 5 yrs old!! I had him for over 10 yrs!!! Worst place ever. Now, 16 days of pain and extreme stress, the shelter finally euthanized my boy. Do not trust this place. I'm heartbroken for what Buddy had to go through and would of taken him somewhere else.
They saved my kitties life on a Saturday morning, after he was attacked by another cat. Due to his injuries, my normally docile and sweet kitty became aggressive. They were able to get him in quickly, and get him into surgery. I was able to take him home later that day. By the next morning he was back to being my sweet, snuggly boy. I am so very thankful for the staff who were caring and incredibly helpful. Thank you for saving my kitty 🐈⬛
I can't share enough with you on how pleasant our experience was with Dr. Larson while helping our sick cat come to end of life with peace and support. We have had bad experiences here in the past, yet the doctor and her staff made sure to listen and discuss until they made us feel comfortable and sure it wasn't going to happen again. We were with our pet for their last peaceful breath and it was Dr. Larson who made sure it was as comfortable as it could be for all involved. It is sad that this location (my family's vet for over 30 years) sold out to the current company awhile ago, because the new policies, prices and ways have cost them patients, families and reviews. However you will find Dr. Larson to be a smooth diamond amongst the changes offering care, compassion and empathy. Griffin's family 🐾
