New Management? I had an emergency and they worked me in when no other place would. The receptions was so nice! I am so happy with this place. Me and my baby were in and out quick!

***UPDATE I'd strongly recommend not using this vet. 25+ years going here. Well.... Today, we got a visit from the sheriff's deputy telling us Fairfield had called to report us. The deputy spoke to my 77 yo husband that was working in the yard. He had a stroke in 2020, has high BP, and has been hospitalized twice in the last year with congestive heart failure. It upset him greatly to have a visit from the police. We have a month to get all 3 cats vaccinated. I had already made an appointment with Chickahominy Animal Hospital in Providence Forge for Monday right after I left Fairfield. BAD form, Fairfield. Why are YOU being so hostile? You could have called. ****** I've been going here for decades. They had a hard time keeping the support staff during COVID. They were excellent but I understood how hard it was for everyone to fully staff their business. They're gone now and you rarely find the same people in there from visit to visit. Before COVID I'd had 3 or 4 visit to fix the 'hole' in my dog's ear. Each time it was expensive... wound up costing over $3,000. I could have been fixed, as I asked them to on the 1st visit, to suture it closed. I was there this week. The person that came into the room to see what I was there for asked me if I was there for a Rabies vaccination. I said, "no". The person then asked me, "Why are you being so hostile?" I calmly told 'em I wasn't. Another question that I answered calmly was again met with, "why are you being so hostile?". And that point I just looked at my book and continued to read. Again.... "why are you being so hostile?" and then stomped out of the room and left the door wide open while my cat was loose in the room. I got my cat, went to the desk, and told them I wasn't staying. Told them the I didn't care for the person... they said, "OH! Everybody loves [the person]" I got home and asked my husband what his experience with the person was last time he was there, "[the person] has no social skills". I've found another vet closer to home. They are 40% cheaper on vaccine and stool sample tests. (The have their own in-house testing instead of sending all to labs as Fairfield does). The other blood tests I was wanting for my cat were cheaper at my new vet as well.

Huge shout out to Kate at the front desk and Dr. Courtney White. Kate urged me to get my dog in immediately this morning for an eye problem that didn’t seem to be bothering him. They fit me in with about two hours notice same day. There was almost no wait while there and Dr. White explained this is a corneal ulcer and is an urgent thing to treat. We got medications and trained how to administer. She was super thorough even though they just fit me into her day. I can’t thank them enough and Scrappy Yappy Doo says thank you too for saving his eye that (I) mom thought wasn’t a problem since he didn’t act like it was. I can’t thank y’all enough. From the bottom of my heart!

I’ve been going here for years. One dog has passed away and the other I still take here. I have always had good experiences here and the prices are fair. The vets, techs and front staff are always friendly and helpful.

I do not recommend taking your dog to this place. They charge you for services even if you don't receive the service. I took my dog to get groomed and they charged me to get a stool sample. They never informed me I would need one but charged me anyway. I refused to pay because I had previously been charged twice for stool samples only a month or 2 before. They claimed both times they couldn't get stool but never informed me. The woman I spoke to got very rude and disrespectful. She refused to give me my dog records if I didn't pay. They have also misdiagnosed my dog saying he was ok when he wasn't. Keep your receipts because they will say you didn't pay for your visit or grooming when you have. They will do anything to get money from you. I will never take my baby back there.
