I always love bringing my Cats to Dr. Beswick and the amazing folks at Rose City. Everyone is so friendly, and I can tell they truly care about my pets. Everything’s is always explained to me so I can understand, any and all costs are fully broken down so there’s no surprises, and it’s always just an overall great experience. My cats always feel safe and start to relax after a bit once they get settled because they can tell too it’s an ok place to be! Which, I know isn’t the case for most! That was nearly 3 years ago, and we've been thrilled with every experience. From a nail trim to her spay, we've always been happy to have taken her there. My dog Mili is getting older. Every year it seems that she has a new growth that requires surgery. It’s a scary world. I travel for work so finding a good vet is essential. This establishment stands out in every way. She went in for a routine check for her growths that were visible outside. During her biopsy, they suspected more. So as the truly experienced professionals that they are, they delved deeper, treating my dog as if she were their own. That alone is worth every penny and second of my time. However, the truly priceless point is that because they decided to check deeper, they discovered a potentially more malignant cancer and caught it early. They made the time so that she could get her surgery as soon as possible. For a place that is booked for weeks in advance, from first checkup to biopsy to metastatic evaluation to then the surgery to remove the tumors, it took less than 2 weeks. Every member of the staff is incredible.

Love this vet! It is so hard finding a vet that cares about your pet as much as you do, but I Rose City Vet seems to meet every standard. Dr. Joe Beswick has been our vet since we moved to Portland a couple of years ago. He is always caring, responsive, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. He has been able to successfully diagnose and treat several health issues with our senior dog. All the staff in the office have been great as well. I think they're also one of the more reasonably priced vets in the area, which makes it easier to schedule that appointment when you're not quite sure if something is serious enough for a vet visit. I highly recommend Rose City Vet and Dr. Beswick/his team.
