We have seen all three Dr's. At Palo Duro Animal hospital. We have had nothing but good experiences there. The Drs. are knowledgeable and staff are all friendly and helpful. They treat my animals like they would treat their own.

This was my second visit to Palo Duro, very beautiful place. Make sure you carry plenty of water and a good pair of hiking shoes, tennis shoes were not my friend.

My dog was due for his annual vaccine appointment and we recently tried Palo Duro Animal Hospital. From the moment I walked in I knew this place was perfect for us. My experience booking the appointment and creating my new client profile with their CSRs was fabulous and stress free. My technician today, Cameron, was such a gentlemen and really got to know me and my pet. He kept me updated on wait times, answered all my questions and was such a joy to work with. Dr. Ballinger was also incredible. He made me and my dog feel comfortable the whole time, took the time to explain everything thoroughly and chat with me. He was very professional and completely transparent with me the whole time. I live in Amarillo but the small extra drive to Canyon was 10000% worth it for this lovely and quality care. I’ve only gone for a preventative appointment but I recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, stress free and welcoming place to bring their pet!

I didn't want to say anything because the worst thing I can be is a burden on anyone, but now more than ever I'm realizing what even happened. My best friend, my dog, who was all that was left when I returned from overseas was hit by a car. This place was the closest vet. She died there. They wouldn't let me see her or be with her when she passed. They were very upset when I went into the back anyways to hold her after she was gone. I've lost alot people. I've been there when God takes them. It's the most sacred thing and you feel as though you have no right to be there. I really needed that moment for myself I think and it was taken from me. I don't know what I did to deserve the way the people here treated me when I just needed to hold my dog. It's as if I can't move passed this. I just remember all of the eye rolling, sighing and comments regarding how I was inconveniencing the workers. I asked for humanity here when I brought my dying dog in and instead I got treated like a problem regardless of paying for the troubles.

They took very good care of our cat, the price was fair, but they were a little weird about refusing to discuss the price difference of different care options they gave us over the phone even after they already had our cat. All in all I trust this facility with my pet but they need to be more open about their prices.
