I absolutely ADORE Critter Camp!!! My sweet girl, Sedona, was sold to me after her previous owners realized they didn’t have the time and they weren’t very kind to her. Sedona has been attending day care at Critter Camp for over a year now and man the difference in her is INSANE! My once timid and reactive dog is now a confident social butterfly!! Critter Camp took the time to play with her one-on-one to gain her trust (which i know took awhile) then slowly introduced her to the other dogs!! Sedona goes twice a week and knows the exit to Rockwell by heart! Most days the stinker jumps out of the car and runs to the door before I can grab her leash because she is so excited!! Critter Camp really took the time to learn about Sedona and gain her trust so HER experience can be wonderful. Sedona is even groomed here! I know she can be anxious when in confined spaces or is doing something new but Sky has all the patience in the world to work with her! The staff is like family to me now and it’s nice to know they love Sedona as much as I do. I will ALWAYS highly recommend bringing your babies here!!!
I rescued a German Shepherd, they found wandering the country out there. Chelsea was the sweetest girl. I had rescued another abused and abandoned shepherd mix, who did not like women. It was because of Critter Camp and the compassion they have, all the understanding working with abused, abandoned dogs.. that Sadie learned to love people again. Chelsea, Sadie and Axl, always enjoyed their short stays and their baths. I wish I still had them all. Chelsea passed in 2019, Sadie in 2022 and Axl in 2023. I have been a long time friend since March of 2012, when I rescued Chelsea. The people, the entire grounds, are very special to me. I have a new group of doggies. Just waiting to terrorize the place. lol I will forever be loyal to Critter Camp, Judi and Sky for all the hard work they did with Sadie. ❤️ She was the best rescue dog ever and Critter Camp made her even that much better!
Our Labrador, Sammy, has gone to Critter Camp for 14 years. He is always very well taken care of and loved on while he is there! The staff has always listened to our concerns as Sammy has dealt with many health issues over the years and they go above and beyond to accommodate him and his needs.
There was an incident that happened October 4, 2022 where the now old employees of Critter Camp Nicole and Whitney stole my dog and had refused to give him back for a total of 15 days that started with Axel getting hit by a car while I was at work. I refused to give up on getting my dog back home where he belonged. Long story short I was blessed with coming into contact with Judi Matthews who both her and I were not sure how much our lives were fixing to be blessed by this incident. I thought Judi was the owner at the time this incident occurred but she wasn't. I was getting nowhere until I met this amazing woman who stood boldly for what was right and wrong. If it wasn't not for Judi I may not have gotten Axel back. Since she is now the owner again of Critter Camp, she has gone above and beyond to try and reconcile what trust was broken with so many customers of CC. She has apologized publicly for the incident with my dog even though it wasn't for her to do and most importantly her and I have an AMAZING friendship and love for one another. As long as she is over Critter Camp.. I back her 110% in whatever she needs me to. I trust her and believe that we shouldn't let 2 bad apples that are no longer with Critter Camp spoil what Judi is trying to do for the place she loves and built from the ground up.
I loveLOVE Critter Camp but my Husky puppy loves it even more! We just moved to Texas and finding this place and meeting the loving, caring, owners has saved us! The facility is spotless and the outdoor dog runs have water and lots of equipment to keep them safe, active and interested. There are cameras and always someone on duty for daycare and overnight stays-I like being able to zoom in on my Dawg while I'm at work-Judi and Skye and all the team treat each dog like they're their own! I can't give enough stars I can only say here how thankful I am for them. (Did I mention the Grooming team there??!) Five-Star!!
Fun place with lots to do for your doggie. My fur baby was a little overwhelmed at all the choices she had! Clean and well-kept.
