Description Rose Canyon Animal Hospital has been an integral part of it's community, as well as San Diego for the last 35 years! Our hospital was originally established by Dr. Watson, then passed onto Dr. Michael until his retirement in 2022, and is still veterinarian & family owned as of today! Dr. Nichole Svehla, Rose Canyon's medical director, and brings extensive emergency and specialty experience. Dr. Vanessa Hoard recently joined our team, and is an amazing addition to our diverse and full-service hospital.

I had a dog for 12 year and never have I had a bad experience at a veterinarian location. I called ahead to see if they handled bunny as well only to see the doctor and her be unsure about what to do but she was at least honest in not knowing. To than have the incompetent vet tech to “forget” to charge us for the blood work and rush us out the door without taking the time to really understand what they were charging us for. I understand they were busy but why not say no we don’t have availability to see you today, instead of rushing the process. How do you forget to charge someone for something than take a day and half to realize. To also not give me the right paperwork for what I’m actually paying for. They need to be more organized and inform new patients of everything that is happening and give them time to read over documents. Having a pets should be treated with more respect especially if they are not well. How am I supposed to trust you in operating on my dog if you can’t even communicate correctly. 0/10 would not recommend.

I had a wonderful experience at Rose Canyon Animal Hospital today. I have a lab who is constantly getting ear infections and they were great with her and also didn't gouge me for the visit! The place is super clean and the vet and the staff were very kind. I am so happy I found this place and will now making this vet our family vet for our 3 dogs!

Not my regular vet, but it was a long wait to get an appointment with my regular vet and my cat was in distress unable to pee more than a few drops at a time. Rose Canyon got me in that very same day although I was not a client of theirs. They spent a good amount of time with my cat and came up with a plan that helped relieve his symptoms. I am now considering making them my regular vet for the future. Thanks everyone at Rose Canyon!

I was able to make an appointment as a new customer writhing the week for my daughters hamster. The staff was very friendly and greeted us by name when we arrived. We were taken into our appointment very timely and the vet was super kind. She checked him over and made recommendations trying to keep a nice budget in mind for the visit. Happy to say we left the appointment with some meds and hope to report back to vet in a week with progress. If you live in Clairemont or PB this is a great local find.

I have been with Rose Canyon Animal Hospital for more than 20 years. Recently Doc retired and the new Doctor is great!!! I saw Dr Hoard and she was very efficient. I enjoyed chatting with her about my dog and animal adventures. I feel my dog has a new Vet and I would not look much further if you need an experienced person who is a vet and has worked and loved animals most of her life!!!!

This vet location is awesome. All of the staff are friendly and informative. They went out of their way to successfully guide me through an emergency my dog was having. Affordable prices and available for questions after a procedure. They don't nickle and dime you like a lot of other vets do.
