My daughter found an injured kitten on the side of 85 on her way to work. She stopped and took him here. They immediately got the little guy veterinary care and saved his life. And my daughter ended up adopting him. He's a great little cat and they're both looking forward to spending many, many happy years together. The staff here is outstanding -- even though they have difficult jobs dealing with injured and abused animals and knucklehead pet owners who give them a bad time even though they're the ones in the wrong. This facility is an absolute treasure. We're lucky to have such a good one. I've dealt with city and county facilities in other areas of the country -- and they're completely useless by comparison. Keep up the good work!
We had a great experience! Staff in the front was nice, the inmates were nice and very patient with us. We notice they are very nice and caring to all the animals it was greatly appreciated to see. I recommend when you want to see a puppy, try to ask for help and have them put you together with them in a little playing area. The reason I say this is because they bark a bit inside their cages and it can get a little hard to see their playful personalities. We got a pitbull/terrier and she is wonderful and very happy to have a home.
I visited today to pickup two dogs going to a local Rescue. This Facility was extremely clean & we organized, they’ll gladly let you tour the facility looking for a new family pet. Your fee covers vaccines, chipping and spay/neuter, definitely can’t beat $25 for all that. A great staff & Facility.
Adopted a great dane three months ago. He is so sweet and loving. The staff were very helpful and caring. Highly recommend coweta county animal shelter.
I adopted three kitten last week, two that were too young to be taken from their mother. I adopted them in hopes that with a lot of attention, a great quality of food, and kitten formula, I could get them back on track to a long healthy life. Unfortunately, the little girl end up getting sick and taken to the emergency vet were we fought for her life but she unfortunately passed away. I don’t really blame the shelter cause I know they have far too many animals that need homes and don’t have the money to get high quality food and time for one on one attention. If you are adopting a young animal around 4-6 weeks, make sure to do your research. It is like caring for a newborn baby. It’s a lot of work and they are very delicate.
I adopted two siblings kittens a week ago from this animal clinic. Everyone who worked there was very nice and the adoption process was great. Most animal shelters/clinics charge a very high adb. Loption fee. I am a single and Disabled mother and money is tight so I was very happy that I could get me and little girl 2 kittens for $50. They only charge a $25 adoption fee which includes microchip, 1st set of vaccines, and the spay/neuter. I wouldn't have been able to adopt both sibling kittens if the price was very reasonable. Also, in March my 3 year old cat went missing. He was my moms cat and the last thing we had of her since she passed away in 2020. We searched and searched but still don't know what happened to him. We weren't sure we wanted to get another cat after losing him . But the ladys were very nice with helping me choose a kitten and made me feel at ease about everything. My daughter and me absolutely love our little Grace(Gracie) and baby boy(still deciding name). I would definitely recommend adopting a cat or dog from here.
