We brought Sophie in to the emergency side after she was misdiagnosed at her primary care vet three weeks prior. They got her in right away and she stayed overnight on oxygen. She spent the next two days in the cardiology wing and was diagnosed with heart failure and arrhythmia. Everyone was so caring and explained everything so clearly. Dr. Salmon is incredible, intelligent, and so kind. The techs were great, especially Yesenia and Chris. Even the receptionists on the ER side and Specialty side were wonderful. We felt completely comfortable leaving her there in their care. The price for an emergency visit, 24/7 monitoring, and specialty care was much more reasonable than I thought it would be, too. North Springs saved our Sophie girl's life and I will forever be grateful.
Took my puppy in after her symptoms from a toy accident worsened in the middle of the night. The staff were incredibly compassionate. They took very good care of my girl and she is recovering well. What I liked the most was they listened. Thank you to Dr Plant and the tech on that night (I wish I could remember his name).
I brought my dog there to the ER and after 6 hours of them coming back out 5 different times telling me they needed more money more money long story short $3000.00 later they sent her home not breathing well at all and she died the next day in her bed…horrible experience! I would never use them again! It’s all about the money at this place not your beloved family member…
Late last night, around midnight, my wife and I had to make an all too familiar difficult choice with our dog Hooch. He was suffering from a sudden organ failure to agressive cancer. It was very unexpected and we weren't ready for the emotional trauma of euthananizing our dog late on a Sunday night. It's difficult to appreciate vet staff and doctors in the midst of losing a beloved companion. The folks at North Springs Vet Referal were incredible. Their building is very clean and updated. The doctors and staff were so compassionate, knowledgeable and professional. They have a comfort room were the dog was put to sleep in our presence in a way I've never experienced before. Our dog passed on a comfy couch in the most peaceful and loving way a dog can go. If every dog could pass in such conditions, it would make my heart warm even though it is very sad. I can't thank these people enough for making something very difficult as pleasant as humanly possible. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being a bright spot and being so personable during a time when our hearts were breaking with sadness.
My puppy swallowed a scrunchie, So we brought her in. The staff took care of us immediately. Knowledgeable, kind and competent, they had that scrunchie out in about 10 minutes and my baby is 100% better! Also, the folks in the waiting room were friendly and nice to chat with while we waited. I never expected to end up in an animal ER close to midnight on a Sunday, but this establishment made this scary experience so much better for my pup and family. Thank you to the kind staff, and great care that you took of my baby! Also, A+ facilities! So clean in the waiting room and vet tech offices; very well maintained! Thanks again!
TLDR: this vet treated me like a murderer for possibly wanting to spend a little extra time with my childhood dog before she passed instead of putting her down right that minute. They wouldn’t give me any real info on what was going on and charged me almost $800. She was treated terribly and came out worse than when we entered, and they bruised her up and said that she came like that. I really didn’t want to write this review and relive my terrible experience, but I have to warn other dog owners of their money driven, uncaring ways. Months ago I brought my 14 year old Aussie here when I came home and she couldn’t walk. They wouldn’t tell me anything without more testing. I told them I had just begun paying for my student loans that day as well and I don’t have a ton of money so I just wanted to know if there was a chance of saving her if I paid. They told me they wouldn’t know without more tests and said my cheapest option would be 800-1000. I agreed in hopes I could keep my best friend for a little longer. They took her to back and after 30min came back to tell me a higher priority client had come in and that they had to kennel her for now. I could hear her barking (she had an extremely distinct bark and almost never barked). They finally began the tests and came back to tell me about an hour and a half later that she wasn’t looking good and they put her on oxygen. Then left for another 30 min. The doctor came back to tell me I should put her down or do more tests and said that it would be inhumane to take her home even for an hour or two to spend a little goodbye time with her. I was bawling and I said I wanted to know how much euthanasia is there and that I might need more time to decide. If i was gonna put her down I was going to think about bringing her to a less expensive vet instead. He left to get the quote for her weight and was gone for AN HOUR I was crying so much I fell asleep. The nurse came back with discharge forms and passive aggressively pointed out that I was refusing professional advice even though I hadn’t even made a final decision and had said that I MIGHT want to take her for a couple hours and bring her back. I decided to have a home death with her and I brought her to a beautiful park and gave her a last meal before I brought her home. I could see She wasn’t in pain as I loaded her up on prescription pain pills. I’m very glad that it worked out and I felt it was the best way for both of us; Minus this vet visit and 800 of course.
