Friendly folks there. We can laugh and commiserate together about our furry friends. They are very fair as well. It may be expensive, but if you're following up from that previous $$$ visit, they have not chosen to stab you with a complete visit/health checkup again. Just the necessary part. This gives me confidence to return.
Love this vet clinic. I've been taking my pets here since 2017, Dr. Rapp has been incredible with both my dog and cats. He is both compassionate and knowledgeable, and advocates for what's best for the animal without pushing unnecessary procedures. When I first moved to Anchorage Dr. Rapp caught the symptoms of an abscessed tooth in my dog that my previous vet had been dismissing my concerns about. My dog was so much happier after the tooth was removed. When I had to say goodbye to my beloved dog Dr. Rapp was incredibly kind through the whole process and took extra steps to ensure my anxious dog was comfortable before beginning, even though that meant our appointment took extra time. His kindness made a horrible situation much more bearable and looking back I am so thankful my dog was at ease through his last moments thanks to Dr. Rapp.
Dr. Rapp is an excellent vet that genuinely cares about animals. We have used Cornerstone for the last 10 years to navigate a variety of challenging situations (travel certificates, euthanasia, TPLO surgeries, ect.). Cornerstone may not be the quickest nor the cheapest, but they do provide a high quality service. I feel fortunate to have found such an experienced and compassionate vet.
Good experience with our cat, even though her grumpy face might say otherwise. 😼 There are covid protocols currently in place that don't allow owners inside, curbside with the Vet techs or front desk staff to pick up and drop off along with taking payment. A wellness visit for Rabies shot and check up took about 90 minutes from drop-off to pick up. Communication via phone from the doctor and staff was good, although slight miscommunication about when she was finished may have extended the time. Otherwise, will definitely be back.
Man, I am so frustrated with this clinic. Last time I took 2 of my dogs there for exams and to talk to them about my pits teeth, not only did I just have to drop them off without the option of actually talking with the vet, when I picked them up, the bill was over $700. Like "Surprise!", I didn't get a call or anything saying I was getting charged so much, and when I asked for an explanation, I didn't get one. The lady I spoke with at the front counter just kept saying sorry, that's what they charge. I stupidly made an appointment with them again for today for nail trims and to talk with the vet about some other issues. I made it very clear that this time, I wanted to be there, to actually talk with the vet so I could ask questions and go over a couple concerns. This morning after checking in, I'm sitting there with my dogs and a vet tech comes out and says they'll take them back and call me later. I'm sorry, what? This is supposed to be an in person appointment. I'm told that this is actually a courtesy appointment and that the vet is squeezing them in in between other appointments. So needless to say, I'm now looking for another vet..
The staff have a nice attitude i guess, but the place is seriously expensive, seems like anything they can add to a service, they will. Took my normal, healthy 3 month old kitten there to get fixed and get her shots, ended up being about $810. Essentailly have to almost take out a second mortgage on my house just so my cat wont get knocked up. But i digress. They got the job done, but will be looking for alternate places that do a good job but are less expensive.
