We went through quite a process before we found the perfect little girl to adopt. She ended up being my cuddle buddy and crochet helper instead of my 5-yr old grandson’s new friend, but she’s been a terrific addition to our little family. She’s got “orange cat” personality and is hilarious for us all to watch. I’m so grateful for Help Humane’s help!
Genuinely an amazing place and staff all around. First off, they offer the cats in their care a free roaming environment - where they aren't stuck in cages all day, and instead get to socialize with each other and the visitors who come in to show them love or meet them for potential adoptions. They also take care of cats in need of extra care and love, such as senior cats and cats with other more advanced needs until they can find their proper furever homes as well. rather than letting them go to high turnover kill shelters where they wouldn't ever get a second chance most likely. In my opinion they're incredible for what they do, and we love our two babies we gave furever homes to more than anything! They even gave us really cute going home goodie bags for our cats, full of toys they were used to, feathers, and food to make sure they have an easier transition. I can't rate them high enough honestly.
They are so kind hearted helping so many kitties. I visited because they helped me save some kitties after their owner passed away and they were left on their own for weeks. Now they are ready to be adopted to go to new homes thanks to Help Humane.
HELP Humane is a wonderful place where caring people make it their mission to help cats and dogs in need. I have been involved with them for 12 years and wouldn't go anywhere else to look for my next pet. What they are doing for ferals, homeless, surrendered pets and disabled animals is remarkable. I never stop being amazed at how much good is done from this humble organization. This is part of our community, please give if you can. Cat food, cash, litter, paper towels; I've never seen anything wasted. Pictured, my cat who was a tiny kitten living in a storm drain and was rescued by a good samaritan who of course, brought her to HELP. Today she is part of our family and my lapcat.
Free-roaming animal shelter that's 100% no-kill. They primarly have cats, but also house a few dogs. On a daily basis, they are home to an average of about 100 cats on average. They help facilitate over 200 adoptions a year. They provide food, medical attention, and care and love to all their animals. In the words of one volunteer, "they are just as much a hospice as a shelter." They define what a humane society should be, providing love and care to animals who have been abused, abandoned, or that just need a home. They run solely off donations and support from the community. Please consider adopting, and if you would like to volunteer, attend a volunteer orientation Tuesday evenings at 6 pm.
HELP is a wonderful shelter for cats and sometimes smaller dogs that has a long track record and an excellent reputation in our community. They operate from a big heart for pets that have no other hope. They operate on a tight budget and lots of volunteers. They stretch everything to cover as many animals as possible. There will always be more that they can’t help. Please remember this is a charitable organization and help if you can.
