We want to thank the staff at VCA Weymouth ER. We brought our Lab here on a referral from our local vet. He could not be treated so we had to let him go. The staff showed great patience and professionalism as they helped us through this process. All team members displayed great empathy in supporting us. I would highly recommend the care here.
I cannot say enough about all the staff at the Weymouth VCA. From the front desk to the surgeons, specialists, techs and triage they are all amazing. Emergency situations arise and I know I can always depend on the excellent care we receive here. This guy would not be celebrating his 4th birthday if it was not for all the amazing staff there!! Thank you for all you do everyday!
I brought my cat in after having respiratory distress eating something in the lawn he shouldn't have about a month ago that caused wheezing. The staff was incredibly kind on the phone & at check-in, however, upon arrival they told me it shouldn't be too long until he was seen-- and it ended up being two hours before he was taken into the back with the vet techs, and another 5 hours before he saw a vet. All in all, his wheezing had subsided by the time we got there, and it turned out there was only 1 vet on for part of the night (the vet & techs were amazing once I did see them and were incredibly apologetic about the wait), so he was seen later because he was lowered on the triage list. I was just frustrated that the front desk staff didn't check in until prompted when I had been sitting there for 5 hours with no news & there was only a handful of other pet-owners in the lobby. Thankfully my cat was looking much better & did not need any interventions done, I just felt the wait was long enough that he may have been forgotten about until I asked.
We had a wonderful experience here! Our primary vet was not able to handle what was going on with our 10 year old Siamese so they sent us here and everyone was wonderful. We were seen quickly, they answered all of our questions, and they took such great care of Kitty. Dr. Lopes went above and beyond and even called me the next day from home with test results and her recommendations. Kitty is now on the road to recovery because of them and I will forever be grateful for how we were all treated. We will use them again if we have have any type of emergency for both my cat and dog. Thank you, VCA Weymouth! The whole team was incredible!
Thank you to all the staff at VCA South Shore Weymouth that took such amazing care of my cat Bandit last week! My three year old cat Bandit went from seeming completely normal one day to a very sick cat the next. After being initially assessed at Vet Urgent Care Plymouth and finding out he had a low heart rate, low blood pressure, was anemic and had bleeding in abdomen, when asked which animal hospital I wanted to take him, there was no question in my mind that he was going to VCA Weymouth. I have always received great care here! And knew he would be in good hands. From the moment I arrived, I had a team waiting to rush him back immediately and got initial assessments done. They were upfront about the costs and kept me informed of everything that was going on. He was ultimately diagnosed with a very severe acute pancreatitis. Spent two nights getting world class vet care and the best cuddles from the team! Came home after two nights and has been back to his normal self, eating well and playing with his fur brother Myles. Bandit, Myles and I cannot thank everyone enough for all they did!!! I truly believe the awesome care he received is why he is still with us!!! You all are TRULY THE BEST!! THANK YOU!!! From Bandit, Myles and Sarah
Paid VCA $6,000 dollars to have osteosarcoma removed from rear paw of my dog, thinking we were saving and or prolonging his life. Ozzy died 8 weeks later, they were not honest with me regarding the prognosis. I feel like I was taken advantage of!
