Description ESNKY believes homelessness is an emergency and that shelter is a basic necessity for human beings. We believe that only when this basic necessity is provided, do human beings have the ability to recover from homelessness. We offer immediate, low-barrier shelter for adult men (year-round) and women (March-November) who are experiencing homelessness, a transitional housing program for adult men, and a shower program for adults (M-F).

This is a men's shelter. They allowed me to sleep outside. They let me in to shower and wash my clothing. Jason who is a navigator assisted me. He is a credit to his occupation and should be commended for going to the extreme to assist me. This shelter is state of the art. And I am very Thankful 🙏
They discriminated against people with disabilities they don't provide the proper beds for able body people to be on the top bunk and are asked to leave if you can not get in the top bunk and then if you don't leave they call the cops. Which both need to learn there laws the shelter laws that protect people with disabilities and the police that once you have established residency at a place of dwelling you have to have eviction notice and if applied have to go in front of a judge. So the shelter isn't run like they should be in my opinion but who am I I'm just a homeless disabled man that has a hard time getting in a jailhouse bunk bed with no ladder or something to assist in getting on the top bunk so thank you Michelle for having me kicked out of the shelter because I couldn't get on the top bunk and you want to be on your low power trip
The people that work here are very kind hearted and accept donations. My cousin an I love to donate food so it doesn't go to waste when we mass prep things in the kitchen. Be the change you want to see yall! Donations are appreciated
Was told on phone they were taking people at 5:30. They didn't even start till 6. When I arrived people were cutting me. I'm diabetic 2 and my standing and walking have declined. I literally was cut by at least 7 individuals. I was told when it was my turn to enter was no beds available. It was obvious I had a walking disadvantage. The offered no solution to my problem. I ended up going to ER just to get out of cold and to survive a couple more days.
It's a safe place where you get a second chance at life. When nobody wants you they welcome you. They help you find a job a career and even housing things to get you back on your feet.
Claim they help you get an i.d, but without an i.d you can't stay. Been asking for help and got nowhere "we got you" is what I kept being told. A nice staff member told me they got in trouble for 'helping too much'. No air ventilation in dorm and dorm door stays shut at night, your breathing in all the coughing and sneezing from others. I would only go here if your really desperate. When they make you leave in the AM, and you have nowhere to go they say ' don't wait in front of building, move to the side out of view of the public'. As if we are not to be seen by local passerbys. On the plus side you get access to laundry and shower.
