For over 100 years this amazing organizational has been doing just that “amazing” things for the South Florida homeless population and others in need. Always a pleasure attending there events. You really learn a lot about others and yourself. #caringplace #miamirescuemission #thoseinneed #helping #healing #service #miami #florida
I had unpleasant experiences in previous times. Now a complete different story. The gentleman working the furniture and large items sales area is EXTREMELY helpful. The prices are fair and if you like something buy it, he works the floor and from day to the other things are out the door. It was only the person in charge and ONE other helping hand, but everything was clean and organize. They loaded items in my truck without me even asking for help. Keep the good work.
I was calling for a homeless man with a service dog. No answer at the Caring Place. I took care of the young man. I fed him and dog and paid for a Hostel for 2 days. Miami Beach has NOTHING FOR THE HOMELESS, other than yell at them and tell them to get a JOB. My review was not meant as criticism. I have been donating money and furniture, etc., for years. Yes, I called 211 (nothing to offer) as always they refer you to 20 places which never answer . This is not my first rodeo. Miami Beach offers NOTHING. Before they offered a bus ticket to go back home. Not anymore. My life dedication has been to help the homeless! 2 have died in my arms, they refused to go to hospital when I called 911 which respond immediately. Again, i know your organization quite well. I was asked by google to review. I told the truth. It was not a critique. Thank you for the good work you do.
I so wanted to donate to them because I know they do good work. However, even after confirming via email, they did not have me on their list to pick up on the day they themselves picked out. Definitely do not rely on them if you have a closing soon on your home or have to take time off of work. So unfortunately I had friends warn me about them, but I didn't listen....
Hi there by any chance would I be able to use this address to apply for a Job ?
Do not call them to pick up your large donations! They are completely unreliable. We were donating 2 sofas and a TV. They canceled on us the first time after calling us at 8am that they were coming ,and even calling us that they were ten minutes away. No one ever showed up. They reschedule for the following day when we called again. They showed up this time. They refused to take the sofa and tv because we have stair case. Our apartment is on the first floor and there are a total of three steps. It’s extremely unfortunate they refused to take these items as they were brand new and not to mention the amount of time we lost.
