Very poor communication. Wife and I filled out an application for a dog. No one bothered to let us know they already had someone interested. Since we would have 0 issues adopting a dog, we were very excited to have her. I reached out on the following Monday requesting information just to be told that the dog already has a meet and greet. So now my wife and I are highly upset being given false hope because of poor communication on the shelters part. If you truly want animals to be adopted, it might be a good idea to all be on the same page and clear with the people wanting to adopt.

The staff here are super friendly; love how they allow people in the community & older teens to volunteer. The animals need alot of love. I had no intentions of adopting a dog, but I did. Def recommend.

Saving Sumters Strays is the first animal rescue that I have volunteered at. These women work so hard to provide the best care possible for the animals coming into animal control. They also make sure that the animals find great and proper rescues or families for them. They are meticulous about placement, and strive to find them perfect homes. I have fostered for them, transported, and helped walk/socialize the animals coming in. Saving Sumters Strays is awesome and go above and beyond for these furry babies.
