Always a good experience at this store, the staff are friendly and informative. Great atmosphere! I even found a much better litter alternative thanks to the staff's suggestions and experiences. Got this photo of their current in-store shelter cat that's waiting to be adopted. Getting to visit the kitties is another wonderful feature from Pet Valu.

Stopped into this location to get our puppy Tank some sweaters September 28th. When we walked in we were greeted by the most friendly, genuine and helpful staff member. She made Tank feel so special and directed us to the clothing that was 75% off!! Win win. We will definitely be back and I hope everybody gets the chance to have Amber help them. I only know her name because I called the store to give a compliment to her manager and actually got to give her the compliment myself.5 star service for sure.

I have been shopping with the Pet Valu company for decades now, and have always had great experiences in their stores, but this past weekend was my first time visiting this location. Upon arrival I was informed there were kittens. I have five cats of my own so was excited to take a look at them. I went to the back of the store where I found a couple standing beside a cage that was certainly not big enough for the seven large kittens it contained, all in obvious distress, wheezing and sniffling, their eyes and noses were caked with mucous and puss. I asked the girl at the desk what was going on with the kittens. I was informed that this was a breeder who was "showcasing" their designer kittens in the store. I told the girl that these kittens were obviously sick and should be on antibotics, she shrugged it off and said they had been to the vets. First off, I am rather put off by the fact that Pet Valu would be supporting breeders, they have always been a rescue only pet shop as far as I was aware. Promoting and selling purposefully bred kittens is unethical and irresponsible. Secondly, respiratore infections are highly contagious. As I was leaving a couple came in with their dog, hopefully they didn't go too close to those kittens, as their dog could fall ill very quickly, as could any other pet who went in there or who's owner touched one of these kittens and went home to touch their own pets. I find this disgusting if I am honest. Not only is it ridiculous to have contagious sick animals on display at a pet shop, to promote a breeder who obviously cares nothing for their cats to take sick babies out to be put on display when they should be home on antibiotics being treated before they die from complications is horrifying. These people shouldn't be allowed to own cats, let alone breed them. If this is the state of the kittens they put on display what on earth is going on behind closed doors. Avoid at all costs!!! Very disappointed Pet Valu. Do better!
