Description BluePearl Pet Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas City, is a 24 hour emergency vet and specialty pet hospital. We are located in Overland Park and serve Overland Park, Leawood, Olathe, Kansas City and Merriam. Our state-of-the-art, 15,000 square-foot facility offers multiple specialty services and includes an intensive care unit for 24-hour care. We also offer veterinary specialty care like cardiology; critical care; advanced diagnostic imaging including MRI, radiograph, and CT scan; internal medicine; neurology and neurosurgery; oncology; radioiodine I-131 for hyperthyroidism in cats; and surgery. We accept Care Credit as a payment option.

Blue pearl is absolutely amazing. My dog recently got a mastectomy surgery due to mammary gland carcinoma. I cannot say an enough kind words about the staff here and my experience. Everyone was so helpful and so nice, I was updated throughout the whole time my girl was in their care. Despite her difficult temperament in the vets office, they treated her with the utmost respect and care. I cannot recommend this place enough. The price is well worth it to have our girl live as long as she can. Also side note PET INSURANCE HELPS TREMENDOUSLY. THANK YOU BLUE PEARL

I can’t say enough about the staff and the care at Blue Pearl! All of the front desk was Amazing! I can’t remember her name, but the woman with dark hair and glasses who moves chairs a lot (a joke we made with her while we were there lol)that checked us in and out was so nice and funny and really made us feel at ease and comfortable given the unfortunate reason why we were there. Dr. White and her staff were also very communicative, amazing and so kind on keeping us posted on Hunter on how he did overnight leading up to his surgery, to when he was about to go into surgery and post surgery. We love the fact that we were able to visit him post surgery. Laura who we spoke with and visited with at discharge was also so amazing, patient to answer any questions and was very thorough with all of Hunter’s discharge post op care instructions. We appreciate how proactive this facility and staff was to make sure our pup was getting the prompt care he needed. Thank you again, to all of the Blue Pearl staff!

On 1/25/24 we rushed our 16 year old beagle to blue pearl as he had not been eating and began seizing as soon as we walked in the door the staff saw our sweet boy having another seizure and immediately took him from our arms and rushed him back, we were eventually taken back to a room to speak with the dr who advised us that Stewart was very ill and had a brain tumor and ultimately advised us that it was time for him to cross the rainbow bridge, we were absolutely devastated and heartbroken but the staff brought our baby in the room on a stretcher so that my children and I could say our goodbyes and told us to take all the time we needed and to let them know when we were ready for them to come back in! The dr was fantastic and allowed us to stay with him through the entire process and walked us through everything that she was doing! Stewart passed very quickly and staff still let us take as long as we needed! Thank you for making such a devastating and traumatic loss as painless as possible and for taking the very best care of our boy!

Best staff bottom to the top. saturday night i had a freak accident with my puppy regarding his eye, they answered immediately and told me to just get up here and they’d get him in. he needed to end up getting surgery, the doctor explained to be everything they’d be doing and assured me he’d be ok. they kept him overnight and we picked him up in the morning. forever grateful how they took great care of my baby.

I have always been impressed with my visits here despite the high cost of pet care. An emergency vet like this is so necessary when people have a problem after hours and especially if they can't handle taking care of their pet on their own due to the severity of the problem or due to having to take care of a family member as well. I greatly appreciate the professionalism of the staff and their kindness. I always try to give a good review where one is deserved because a lot of times people make complaints only. These kinds of expert services are outstanding and highly recommended when you need acute care. I would recommend Blue Pearl to anyone who needs emergency care for their pet and I hope that I don't have to go there too often in the future, but if I do, I'll feel like I'm in good hands.

Our senior cat with cancer took a turn for the worst today and we needed euthanasia services. Our regular vet was closed so we went to Blue Pearl. Our care was friendly, prompt, and compassionate. They took the time to put his name in calligraphy on the cardboard "casket" they provided for us. It was a tough day but I am thankful for the quality of service we had available in such short notice.
