Despite the adorable pictures, these animals are ambassadors and not pets; otters make terrible pets but wonderful wild animals. This place gives you a beautiful experience with conservationists who care deeply about the animals they care for, and with a range of wonderful (and endangered) animals whose character and interactions will be treasured memories forever.

Visited nurtured by nature from Canada and had an amazing time with the animals. Everyone who works there is extremely knowledgeable and nice. We spent a good amount of time with different animals that you wouldn’t normally think of but great to interact with. The otters, the stars of the show, were super fun to interact with, cute, and definitely live up to the hype. The only thing I would say was unfortunate was the mask requirement with them. They aren’t super photo friendly and my wife’s mask fogged up quite a bit, which took away from the experience. They should at least have the anti fog wipes in an attempt to avoid this. She’s also quite short (4’ 11”) so had to stand on her tip toes in the pool. So it would’ve been nice to interact with the otters outside the pool. They do give warning about the masks on the ticket but without pictures online we didn’t really grasp how it would affect the overall experience especially with the hefty price tag that comes with a ticket. Pic with wife on tip toes and masks for reference

The best day we have had since the pandemic started! This was an amazingly unique experience. It's not just about otters but also sloths, armadillos, capybara, lemurs, kangaroos and even fennec foxes! The owners and employees are incredibly kind and knowledgeable and really make you want to do your part to save the planet! WORTH EVERY PENNY!

The experience visiting Nurtured by Nature was absolutely priceless and worth the time and money. What impressed me the most was this wasn’t a zoo at all. They go above beyond in every circumstance possible to care for the animals above the people visiting. We were warned at multiple times that the animals will always come first and this may me cutting time short or less interaction. There was no point I felt like it was being cut off however the staff paid special attention to the animals at all times and were an incredible wealth of knowledge.

What an amazing, immersive, and interactive adventure! Such knowledgable and passionate staff with an awesome assortment of rescued animals so see and learn about first-hand! Learn the story of how they were rescued, how they are deeply and fondly cared for, and what you can do to make the world a better place for them :) all while getting plenty of love from a romp of playful otters, feeding peanuts to gentle pacas, petting friendly porcupines, and leaping around with lemurs. AND SO MUCH MORE!! We cannot wait to come back again just to feel those adorable little otter paws grasping our fingers 😍😍😍

Sad to see their otter experience just keeps going up and up in price. Most expensive one in the US, I get raising money for the animals but this is down right robbery
