I’ve came to this clinic at least 3 times and all times I've had to wait for over 45 minutes with cat in a crate. The staff is heard talking about other clients and animals with no regard for being overhead. A gentleman came in to ask about cremation services and not an ounce of empathy was given to him even though he was clearly upset about his animal passing. No “hello” or “welcome” or any type of bedside manner. All staff was stressed and it was voiced out-loud. I could understand if it was a busy day but this is the 3rd time in a row. Last time i asked “do you know how much longer or should i reschedule” and the receptionist said “I'm not sure they're gonna be awhile”. What is the point of having an appointment? I asked for an itemized receipt and she responds with “I’ll have to type it out”. We’re in a digital world… do you pull prices from your head? I definitely did not feel that all the animals were cared for as they should be. What would help would be hiring an operations manager and another veterinarian to help alleviate some issues.

I had my 4 legged kids at a previous vet in Friendswood, TX who prescribed a 60 pound dog medication to my cat due to neglect then the owner_vet got angry I brought it to their attention & discharged my kids. Then I found Dr. Evans @ Highway 6 Low Cost vet clinic & wow amazing as all the staff show a true love for the animals they treat as if they are their own as well very polite, accurate & helpful beyong belief. My kids aren't scared of them any of them & calm with Dr. Evans who remarkly never rushes your animal or you to just see the next patient as well answers ALL your questions no matter how long or ridiculous. I know each one of my cats don't mind seeing the doc by their calm behavior before, during & after.

Dr. Evans and staff are very knowledgeable and professional. They fit us in when my little boy Sisu was not feeling so great. He was feeling better by the time we got home and was back to 100% by the next day!!! Highly recommend. And pricing is very fair.

I was with a different vet for 10 years and had finally had enough. I gave this place a try and will never go anywhere else. Dr. Evans is amazing and very caring. Office staff is great to work with. They truly care about your pet not just the money as most places do. Thanks For taking such good Care of my babies

I have been bringing my animals to see Doc Evans for sometime now. I have 3 dogs, 2 cats and a horse. Almost 2 years ago now, the day my mom passed away, I went to her house to pick up some papers and take trash out. While outside, I bent down to open the garage and found this baby kitten (with the umbilical cord still attached) it was half dead, cold and wet. It was a ferrell kitten from a cat my mom had been trying to catch for years because she never took care of her babies. I picked the baby up and took it home to start caring for him. When he was almost a year old I started letting him go outside, we live on property, and he ended up getting attacked by a hawk and almost died. He recovered, but several months later he had a lump appear and it was very tender. I took him to Doc Evans, and did not have a lot of money to spend, instead of Doc Evans running tons of test and charging me lots of $$$$, he put him on some antibiotics because it could have been from his hawk attack. Doc Evans told me to watch him carefully and if he got worse or if I had any questions he would see him again with out charge. He knew this kitten meant a lot to me because I found him the day my mom died and I felt it was a connection to her. About 10 days after the antibiotics, he was not better and I took him back to see Doc Evans. Doc Evans felt the lump again and said it could be cancer because of how it felt and it had grown, He said it would be very rare with such a young cat but was a great possibility. Again, instead of running up cost for me, running tons of test, he offered to do a reduced cost surgery and just go in and remove the lump and if it looked like cancer I could pay then to send if off to see for sure. I opted to have him remove the lump and not send it off for testing because Doc Evans said it was big and bad looking but did not appear to look like a cancer tumor. My cat is doing great now, very healthy and happy, no more lump or soreness. I trusted Doc Evans and greatly appreciate his compassion and his expertise. He wants to make animals well and he is very caring, compassionate and considerate of others and their financial situation. We all love our fur babies and it is a great thing when someone cares enough to work with you on what you can afford in order to keep them healthy. Just like with medical doctors, they do not always have all the answers and you must trust them to do their job and pray. I once had a wise vet tell me, there is nothing that God cannot cure, we do our best and let God take it from there. Thank you Doc Evans for all you do!
