Description Our mission is to make a difference for animals and the people who love them. Founded in 1879, the Wisconsin Humane Society has been saving the lives of animals in need for more than 145 years. WHS is an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and operates animal shelters in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Door, and Brown Counties, as well as a spay/neuter clinic in West Allis.

I am so grateful that I found one of the best adult cats here at the Kenosha location. I do recommend going here, but just want to mention a few things. I brought my cat home and he kept sneezing. Then draining from the eye. I was trying to let it run it's course, but when I heard him wheezing I knew he needed to go to the vet. He already had an appointment, but they scheduled too far out so I found a new vet. He had an upper respiratory infection and conjunctivitis. He needed eye ointment and 4 weeks of antibiotics. After spending over $500 in vet bills he is better. What makes me mad is that it was not emphasized that you get free pet insurance for 30 days, but have to activate it. The information is in the back of the folder. I just didn't see it until it was too late. Hope this saves someone else money. Otherwise, I do recommend going here. Just activate your pet insurance and set up a vet appointment.
