I recently rescued a poodle from here and she’s the best thing that ever happened to me! The people here are friendly, helpful and the process was easy and took about a couple hours. She is the most well behaved doggie and she’s so adorable! She has had a hard life and she has a spoiled life now! Thanks to this place, they saved my life, because she just makes life so much better! And she loves my e-bike and gladly wears her goggles for every ride! We have about 2-3 play dates a week and she is a happy baby now! I can’t thank this place enough for her!

I've never gone to a shelter before The Brua center. I was impressed with the whole place. The kennels were clean and their water was full. I was also surprised by the caution they use when adopting out their dogs. They make sure they are getting a good home. Ty all for your kindness.

Lots of animals for adoption, pretty loud and hectic, really too crazy when a lot of people are there to have a relaxed time to find a new pet that suits you. Dogs are barking and jumping up and down in cages. No way to get a read on dogs when they're going nuts. I ended up going to an adoption event at SV Mall and adopting a dog there, even though it cost me $100.00. At Nancy J. Brua it was an anniversary event and adoptions were $16.00. But where I found my dog elsewhere it was relaxed and easy to find my new dog.

I absolutely love coming to this shelter. I volunteer when I can and all of the employees and volunteers are so helpful and they actually care about all of the animals that they have there. It is definitely not like a lot of other shelters that I've been to where the animals aren't treated, right.
