I recently had to rush my two bulldogs to the emergency vet, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional care they received. From the moment we arrived, the staff demonstrated an unparalleled level of compassion and professionalism. The reception team was kind, swift and efficient, putting me at ease during a stressful time. The veterinary team was phenomenal. Their expertise and swift actions made a significant difference in my pets' health. They thoroughly explained the diagnosis and treatment plan, patiently answering all my questions. The follow-up care was equally impressive, with the team checking in on my dogs' progress the next day. I am beyond grateful for their exceptional care and dedication. They treated my dogs with kindness and provided me with much-needed support. I wholeheartedly recommend their services to any pet owner in need of emergency care. My dogs and I are forever thankful for their extraordinary care.
I love Marianne and Dr. Lane! They were wonderful. I must have told them that a million times when I was there. They were compassionate, caring, and positive, which calmed me down completely as soon as I arrived. The laboratory results were given to me, showing how truly transparent and genuinely compassionate these professionals are. Overall, I was profoundly impressed by the high level of customer service. Not only were they super friendly, but both ladies were extremely knowledgeable and thorough about my dog's physical state. The treatment plan proposed by Dr. Lane was rational and comprehensive. This place is the Chick-fil-A of vet ER's. Although they are making money, these women are far from money grabbers. It is all about your dog's best interest for them, and it indeed shows.
We are on vacation here and our 12.5 year old chocolate lab went downhill fast. She wouldn’t eat or drink and was showing the end signs of life. We called Carolina Veterinary Critical Care, and since the first phone call they were incredibly kind and caring. We showed up and they came out with a rolling table to help our girl inside since she was unable to walk. They accommodated us on a budget and didn’t run unnecessary testing like the vet we went to days before urged us to do. The vet came in and gently confirmed our concerns that our girl’s time had come to cross the rainbow bridge. Every single person there was there to help our sweet girl not feel anymore pain, and they were not in it to make a lot of money like a lot of vets can be. They placed her in a casket type box and curled her up to look so comfy in a clean sheet so our 2 kids could say goodbye when we brought her home before her burial. We can’t recommend them enough and keep saying what a blessing it was to find such caring people. Thank you Carolina Veterinary Critical Care!
We recently went through a really heartbreaking time when my 11 year dog, Rory passed away. I contacted this amazing team a few days prior frantic because I was unsure what was going on with him as he randomly collapsed and couldn’t walk. We brought him in per their recommendations and thankfully we did. While it didn’t end well, I’ll forever recommend Dr. Matt and his team. From the receptionist to the nurses to Matt… the kindness they showed me and my Rory will forever be appreciated.
This was my first experience with emergency vet and they were amazing. When our little one decided to eat Saran Wrap we rushed her to Bluffton to induce vomiting . The ladies who work there were super professional and very friendly towards dogs and customers. I expected the bill to be around $700-$800 but they were more affordable than I thought. We ended up paying $335, we spent then about an hour and were able to leave with a pup who was little drowsy but safe -/Thanks to clinic.
My experience with Carolina Critical Care was exceptional. I arrived with a dog that ended up being much sicker than anticipated as he somehow ingested a Sago Palm seed. He was giving a low chance of survival. I appreciated Dr. Tenwolde's compassion but also his directness about what we were up against. They whisked him away for treatment immediately and within 24 hours we were told he was going to be one of the survivors of this deadly poisoning. They continued to treat him for several day and even allowed us to come in for a visit one evening. The at home recovery was long with some lingering challenges but I am happy to report Ollie back to his happy self. I am comforted to know Bluffton has such a great resource. It's funny how life is sometimes - Dr. Tenwolde was a graduate of the Veterinary School at UC Davis - turns out my Ollie was a rescue when I lived in California and had a full exam and review at UC Davis in our early days of ownership. Great to have connected here in the low country years later! Thank you Dr. Tenwolde and staff! Ollie wouldn't be here without you!
