Description Exotic Animal Hospital of Orlando opened its doors in 2016 with the goal to help animals. Founded by Santiago Diaz, the practice has grown to multiple veterinarians, and is one of the premiere exotic veterinarians in the state and the Central Florida region. Our veterinarian staff has over twenty years combined exotic animal veterinary experience. Exotic Animal Hospital of Orlando offers regular appointments for the new pet owner. During this initial appointment, we will discuss the regular care, diet and husbandry of each species, their vaccinations (if needed), their need to be sterilized, and answer any other medical questions.

I took our class pet snail to the vet today. Her name is Margo and she has been our pet for two years. Anyways, her shell started to turn white and overtime the class became more and more worried. I finally decided to find an exotic vet and just call to see what they said. They weren’t sure if they took snails but returned my call quickly to confirm they did! I made an apt and was able to get in fairly quickly. Dr. Kirstin was very knowledgeable on snails- more than what I could find on google! They treated Margo as if she was any other animal coming in. Trust me- bringing a snail to a vet and spending the money on that, wasn’t something I was looking forward to but knew it was best to make sure she was okay. Kirstin spent over 30 minutes discussing what could be the issue and ways to make sure Margo is getting nutritious meals. Everyone in the office loved her and the whole experience was great-even for a snail! I was able to hear her heart beat and see an xray of her shell to make sure everything was fine. Thank you Dr. Kirstin for making this day a great and educational experience! I appreciate you!

They are treating my tortoise and the front desk and doctors (Diaz and McLeod) are being amazing. Dr McLeod is very knowledgeable and professional, always in contact with us after the procedure she performed in our girl, clarifying all our questions and showing care and compassion for our sweet Tortellini.

The NICEST staff. I am so blessed to have been fit in on short notice. My skinny pig was in an emergency state and they fit her in within the same hour I called them. The technicians were so sweet and kind and gentle with my pig. Dr McLeod was so nice and helpful and very knowledgable. I will 100% come back here in my future for my piggies! Update: My skinny pig did not make it. Despite everything the loving staff tried to give me, she was already too far gone. Dr McLeod was kind enough to send me a hand written card after hearing about my animals passing. Truly the KINDEST staff and doctors. I thank them for all they tried to do for me. And I will STILL 100% bring my future exotics here and will recommend this hospital to anyone! Thank you Exotic Animal Hospital of Orlando and Doctor McLeod :)

Best place to take exotic pets. The doctor was so knowledgeable and was willing to work within my budget to give me the best quality care for my sick lizard. Highly experienced courteous staff!

Gorgeous, great staff, but they do treatments without you. This was my first visit because I just started fostering bunnies after fostering cats & dogs for years. The building is gorgeous, parking is spacious (with spot just for patients), & an outdoor patio. I'm unsure if they do boarding, but if so I would recommend because they have the space. It's very clean & comfortable. I never smelled animal! That's magic for a place with multiple species visiting daily! I heard a bird chatting away while I was placed in a small room. The bird sounded happy not distressed. My room seemed designated for bunnies, but it had equipment for other small animals including a small bird perch. So adorable!! Everything was clean & organized. There were other rooms with equipment for other species & sizes. They also sold some food & supplements in the lobby. I didn't wait at all! The staff were very communicative & pleasant! The only thing I wasn't a fan of is they took my bunny to the back to do her exam & vaccine. I've never experienced this at any other vet (& I've been to so many). Not sure if this is typical for bunnies, and I know this doesn't bother people, but I prefer to be with my baby. Specially since vets are a stressful time for them. Don't get me wrong, I completely trust they did a fantastic job! That's why without hesitation they get 5 stars. It's just not my personal preference. 🤗

I drive an hour to come here because of the doctors, staff, cleanliness and care provided. I had my male hairless guinea pig fixed here and they are currently helping me figure out whats wrong with my female hairless guinea pig. Such knowledgeable vets that really take their time.
