We recently adopted a Mini Daschund from the rescue and could not be happier. We were impressed with the care taken to heal and nurture dogs while at the same time, vetting potential homes and families. From the application process, to interviews including a home tour, the proper placement and welfare of the dog was paramount. We met our doxie’s foster family about two weeks ago and they were awesome. Our little doxie has settled in quite well and it is obvious how well she was cared for. We have worked with rescue organizations in the past and none have come close to the care given by this organization. Thank you so much for all you do to love and care for your charges.

I am disappointed with my interactions with the staff of this rescue. The staff I interacted with was rude and it was obvious their response was based on emotion instead of professionalism when I responded to my application being denied. I was not afforded a greeting or any type of professionalism in the email I received back. I have been watching this rescue's page for two years waiting to find a new family member. I will not be checking this page again.

The best place to surrender your pup. I can tell you there is much love and solid coordination with the DHCR. Jennifer from the rescue has gone above and beyond helping us in what is always a tough situation. Rest assured you can feel good you are doing best by your pup if you go with the Dachshund Haus & Corgi Rescue.

This rescue took in Little Bit after her family member passed. Our local rescue was working to place her; however, we heard of this great breed specific rescue. We filled out their surrender form and Dachshund Haus was quick in responding to our application. Jennifer was very engaged from start to finish in getting us the help needed. There felt such comfort knowing that Little Bit was going into such a caring environment. They even sent a pilot to come get her when we couldn’t arrange transport. Pilots Bryan and Steve were so personable. They let our Jr. Rescuers get their pictures taken in the plane, and let them be part of the process. We just can’t say enough good things. Thank you so much!

We got our baby girl from the rescue and they showed her so much love and care that she had transformed our home. So grateful to this organization!

Found a homeless dachshund walking on the service drive by 94. Picked her up and she had numerous injuries and was so scared but calmed down the minute she settled into my warm car. As a first time rescuing a stray dog and having 2 cats of my own I took her to my friends who didn’t currently have any pets. We set her up and posted her information on Love of Louise fb and Grosse Pointe . This lovely rescue reached out to my friend and immediately came to this babies rescue. It was such a relief cus I knew GPAAS would be full as most animal places are. They took the pressure off of all animal shelters due to specializing in this breed of dog. Im so happy I didn’t let Glo’ria Nichole keep walking on that freeway service drive. We named her that LOL. I couldn’t recommend this rescue any harder!!! Thanks for your help!
