Wonderful experience, considering the nature of the visit. The staff was excellent, the doc was straight forward and friendly, and the price was fair (considering the emergency nature of the place). It was clean, everyone was friendly and fast. I even had a funny experience where the woman at the front desk came in wondering where the doc was. He was right in the room! Haha I played along and the doc stayed quiet until she noticed him. It was a bit of fun and I really appreciate it, especially in those more difficult circumstances. Our cat friend is doing much better, thanks and Good job everyone.

Thank you so much for your care for Lulu!!!! I cannot express my gratitude to your staff enough. From the moment I left home to make the hour drive I was called to check on Lulu and given updates on what would happen upon arrival. Your staff met me at the door and hit the floor running. I was updated with her progress and reassured often.This mamma was preparing for the worst. She was definitely a sick cookie. I received phone calls with updates on her progress before and after surgery. I’m not sure she’s going to be ready for an extended stay with you anytime soon( LOL), but I am so glad you’re available when needed!!!!!

Five stars can’t describe how amazing our experience was here. At 3am in the morning, we called asking if we could bring in our dog - as his body was failing him in the night. They were not only super kind and friendly on the phone, but their kindness did not stop. We had a nearly 2 hour drive to get there, and we were greeted by the amazing receptionist Kelsey. She was patient with us and our dog, who was very nervous and struggling. Our nurse was also amazing. He was super kind, even though we were really upset. The vet was so caring and gentle with our dog, Wally. He found a large tumor in his stomach and gave us a few options, but we knew that the best option would be euthanasia. He told us multiple times that we were making the right decision and he explained exactly what would happen. The staff gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye, and they allowed us to deal with billing beforehand so we didn’t have to worry about it afterwards. All of the staff offered their condolences and helped us get Wally into the car. While it was an unfortunate experience, this vet went above and beyond to help us deal with an extremely difficult situation. I really can’t say enough good things about this vet. If you have an emergency, this is the place to go. Thank you.

Worried about whether or not to bring my dog in after an incident. They were compassionate and listened. The lady asked me questions about his condition as well as my observations. She skillfully answered my concerns over the phone and allayed my fears. I will monitor him for the next few days as they suggested. Update:This morning he is doing much better and I got a good night’s sleep. Thank you so much for triaging my darling boy over the phone!

Frodo was brough in to open his airways because his soft pallet was elongated, and his nares were constricted. The staff was extremely helpful and took the time to explain anything we had questions about as well as address and concerns. There was no rush, and the process was explained at the consultation in depth. The staff was very helpful and seemed to care about Frodo as much as we do. They explained all possible outcomes and provided us with best- and worst-case scenarios, addressing concerns about them and noting the likelihood of each. They also gave us an estimate of costs based on both ends of the spectrum and it ended up being on the lighter side. There were follow up calls asking questions about how he was doing and giving us specific things to look for during recovery that might cause a problem as well as adjusting his medication to better suit him. So far He is doing great and our other dog is keeping watchful eye to make sure he recovers fully. The staff was very friendly and helped us find the right option for payment that suited us, even going above and beyond what was necessary to ensure we were comfortable with that part as well. I could not be happier with the service and care our dog has received at NIVES and wish that our personal doctors were as in depth and concerned as the staff here was.

Always the most caring and knowledgeable staff. The hardest working most humble humans there! Thank you again for taking care of our Ellie and getting her back to good health. I never leave disappointed. I want to note that emergency vet ER’s are extremely busy and see the most critical first. We were perfectly fine waiting as long as we did as we knew Ellie wasn’t in a life threatening condition. Seeing some of the reviews is so sad - NIVES deserves better respect - they always go above and beyond and work as hard and as quick as they possibly can. ♥️ thank you endlessly for what you do for our community!
